open log!

Who: Rudy Roughnight and you!
Where: A sports and grill bar somewhere in District 2!
When: September 1st
Summary: Rudy, with a lot on his mind regarding past events over the last month, heads out to the bar to do some thinking.
Warnings: Uh, attempts at underage drinking (and failing)?
A lot’s happened over the past month, hasn’t it? Rudy himself was honestly caught by surprise over the whole thing, yet despite the amount of time that’s passed, it couldn’t quite leave his mind.

… Well, when something’s on your mind, best thing to do is find the nearest bar and work from there, right? So, that’s what he’ll do. He’s at first a bit baffled when the bartender refuses his request for some gin, but soon enough he’ll smile and nod, instead going with a glass of water and an order of chips instead. Every city had its own rules, he supposed.

So, instead, his attention is focused on his book as he scribbles out what little information he’s gathered. Occasionally, one might find him making remarks, seemingly to himself.

“That’s not it…” His notebook contained details of what little he’s been able to gather, with the post from a while back (before its disappearance) and the recent letter he’d (quite literally) picked up from the Welcome Center.

“I still need to gather a little more...” Figure this all out. He was a drifter, after all. Gathering information and knowing where (and how) to find it was an essential skill to have among fellow drifters. Maybe, just maybe, there was some way he could help. There had to be a way he could lend a hand somehow.

Of course, occasionally he might look at the bartender again and ask about the city’s policy. Of course, the most he’ll get is just a plain, “Sorry, kid, that’s just the rules. Can’t change ‘em.”

“No, no, it’s fine…” Rudy shakes his head in return, indicating it was all right. Granted, to the people of this city, it probably was a little unusual seeing a teenaged guy inside a place like this. Of course, despite all that, Rudy wouldn't mind some company.

"I cannot say I've tried gin, myself," the knight remarked, watching the bartender absently as Rudy's drink is refilled. "I shall have to give it a try sometime soon."

In some ways, the way he speaks of his grandfather is similar to the way a child would speak fondly of those who raised him, but she doesn't think it's so much an indication of immaturity as it is of affection.

"Did you drink together?"
