[1 - 19th

What is a little girl to do when she wakes up in an unfamiliar place with no trace of her parents? Pick up the lance she finds in her room and attempt to drag it along with her as she searches for them, of course. Given she's only twelve years old and without any real strength training, however, she has a significant amount of difficulty. That doesn't mean she'll give up, but it doesn't do much to assuage her fears as she makes her way out of the housing building.

2 - 20th through 21st

Later, after learning a bit more of the circumstances, she feels brave enough to explore the city, and there are many things she's delighted to discover; new foods, bright clothes, harmless animals to play with, and a beautiful park. Having lived in Burmecia her whole life, she's never known a day without rain, and to see Seong Saeng's greenery even in the winter is astounding. The light dusting of snow only adds to it; she ends up in the park, kicking up the fluff and enjoying herself.

3 - 22nd through 24th

... however, she isn't familiar enough with the layout of the city, and she eventually finds herself lost in the shopping district. Drawing into herself, she looks around with anxious eyes for anything familiar. The lack of Burmecians in the city only serves to make her more worried.]

[Steve couldn't ignore anyone crying in a normal situation. A young girl that looked like his good friend Freya? It was pretty much impossible. Like his friend, Bucky, she's been transformed into a state that's younger than her current self. But unlike his best friend, she's just a small child.

So, she probably won't recognize him. But he's still gonna try his best to comfort her. Even though part of him is still in pain from Bucky's appearance. He just has to shove that down and smile, make sure that she feels safe.

Steve walks over to her and kneels down a little so that he doesn't look so tall.]

Lookin' for something?

[Freya steps back, an unsure expression directed at the strong-looking human. She watches him for a moment before looking around once again, as if it would help her recall where she is.]

N-no, I just came out to look at all the shops... but I don't know which way my room is now...

[noparachute]

[He continues to look as friendly as possible, trying not to frighten her even more. Being small and stuck in a foreign city would scare even the toughest of people, so he's not upset by her reaction to him. At least she hasn't started crying or run away from him. Chasing a young girl down a street wouldn't be fun for anyone.]

Want me to help you? This city's familiar to me, can probably get you home without a hitch.

[After a moment of hesitation, the young Burmecian looks at the ground and nods.]

O-okay. Thank you, Sir.

[Steve can't help but look relieved when she agreed to go with him. Definitely makes things a little easier. Plus, now he can distract himself with helping Freya and ignore his own troubled feelings about Bucky. He's good at doing that.]

Call me Steve. Before we head back, did you want anything from the store"

[She gives a brief bow in response to the offer of his name.]

I'm Freya. It's nice to meet you, Sir Steve.

[She looks into the window of the clothing store, looking at the selection of hats, then moves her gaze to the ground as her tail sways behind her.]

I don't know how much money I have...

[Gosh, she's so mature and polite even at this age. Guess he shouldn't expect anything else though.]

It's nice to meet you, Miss Freya. [Bringing up that he already knew her didn't sound like a great idea, so reintroducing himself is probably the better option. He wonders if Freya is gonna remember this encounter, but he'll deal with that when the time comes. ...And really, that is going to be easier than talking with Bucky again.

In the mean time, however, he looks over to the clothing store as well, a small smile crossing his face when he notices what Freya is interested in.]

How about I buy you something? A young lady shouldn't go without a hat in this weather.

[As much as her look yearns for those hats, she shakes her head fervently.]

B-but I just met you... I can't ask you to do that for me.

Think of it as a gift for a friendship in the making.

[It's sorta, true, isn't it? Always weird time things he has to deal with... But at least this is relatively pleasant, been than the other times.]

Then I should get something for you too...! Friends don't take gifts without giving one back!

[She looks determined, leaning forward with her fists clenched in front of her, but after a second she looks down again in thought.]

But how do I get money? I don't know if the things I know would be useful anywhere here...

[He was about to protest in letting Freya get a gift for him, but she seemed so determined... it was probably better to let her than argue against it.]

You don't need to buy anythin'. Sometimes a drawing- something handmade is even better. [A couple times, that was all he had to offer back in Brooklyn.] Did that for my best friend before.

[He looked a little strained when he said that, but it wouldn't be too noticeable to anyone that wasn't paying complete attention.]

[Freya is a perceptive girl, but even if she notices Steve's discomfort, she doesn't know that it's really her business to ask near-strangers about personal things.]

I'm not very good at drawing, but... I'll come up with something.

[She knows a lot about plants and herbs that are good in food, and she's pretty good at helping keep weapons and armor clean, even if she's not allowed to handle anything sharp yet. He probably has something like that...]

I look forward to it. [He hopes that he isn't putting too much pressure on her. So he changes the topic a little, at least switches the focus back on his present to her.]

You'll have time to think about it, don't mind waiting. Why don't we pick out your hat now?

[Well... they are right there. She'll be sure to think of something.]

... Okay. My ears are a little cold.

[Going inside the shop should help with that too. Efficient heaters are always something that Steve is grateful for.] Let's go inside.

[She nods and waits for Steve to head inside before she follows. The buildings here are always so warm, even though she can't see any fires... Freya has to wonder if magic is involved.]
