Who: Shinji Ikari & Q-kun (Kaworu Nagisa)
Where: Shinji's Apartment
When: Backdated to June 6th, later on in the evening.
Summary: Shinji's waiting for Kaworu to come and get his apartment key back.
Warnings: Eva pilots trying to figure out Western showers. Pg-13.
When Shinji peeled open his heavy, sagging eyelids the first thing that came into focus was yet another all too familiar unfamiliar ceiling. He'd grown tired of waking up, staring at unfamiliar ceilings; even so, it had become a part of life now. Whether it was waking up to the unfamiliar ceiling of a hospital room or an apartment the unsettling feeling never really left him.
Kaworu was supposed to find him. That's what the Angel had told him before handing him the key to his apartment as assurance that he'd come back. It had been a stressful day, for multiple reasons, and he'd nearly found himself dead. Asuka's fingers, the older one, had nearly snapped his neck. The marks left by her fingers would bruise nicely, he was sure of it.
There's a shift as Shinji rolls onto his side, curling his fingers around his SDAT player. Earphones are pushed into his ears as he draws his knees up to his chest, cheek pressed against the pillow of his new bed, Ode to Joy filtering through. Would Kaworu really return? Had he just been a ghost? The Angel's key was grasped in his other hand, proving him otherwise. He just had to believe he'd return, that he'd find him again.
