"Not by stabbing myself in the head!" Lloyd doesn't need to think long and hard to know that that wouldn't solve anything. "If I need to think, then I just go someplace quiet so I won't get distracted. I don't need to change anything in my head!"

And even though Stein looks and sounds so calm, Lloyd still can't help but regard him with alarm. How can he sound so okay with the idea of driving a spike into his skull?!
