She chuckled softly. "Just like meeting new people?" Pepper sighed. "Normally I'd be there with you but..." She looked away, thoughtful, taking in all the new strangeness. She couldn't quite suppress a shiver, and she pulled in the borrowed jacket tighter around her shoulders.

"Right now, it feels like the first day of school - that you were snatched away from your family to attend." Or a possibly terrible death. Pepper avoided that thought like a plague.
