He runs through the theories in his head - string theory, parallel universes, wormholes - and for the first time in his life, curses the genomes for not giving him more details on theoretical astrophysics. It's still a lot for him to swallow, though, even if she seems not to be quite as mystified as he is.

Conner's not really one for apologies, but it's easier apologizing for some alternate version of himself he's not likely to meet.
"The me in your world, is he -- does he know Superman?"
He has a lot of questions and this is probably one of the weirdest, but he can't stop himself from asking it. It's the wrong time for it - he should be asking more pertinent questions about the setting and the situation. And he will, after he knows the answer to this one.
