"The letters they write with here are different from the ones the druids use at home. The ones that are used at home just are straight lines. The letters here have lines and curves! It's hard to know how to put them all together right," Diarmuid looks around them and then points to a nearby sign. "Letters like those. Once I learn how to write them, I can leave notes and such for people so they know where I am. I always am afraid that people will come to check on me and worry when I am gone. I got sent home for a whole year once. Only three days passed here, but that is still a long time to be gone and my friends were worried about me."
