"Yeah, sort of," she replies, frowning just a little. "He's away from home a lot for work, so he always worries, even though I'm in high school and stuff."
Pilouette sighs. She was nearly an adult already (sort of) and she can't help but feel a little annoyed, remembering how much her dad worried and fussed over her as if she was still a child.
"He says someone my age should be studying and concentrating on school instead of working. I don't really like it, but...I figure I shouldn't argue with him about it." For more reasons than one. It's because he worked so much that she didn't really need a job. She crosses her arms and nods firmly. "You're right, though. I'm learning a lot from working at the shop, so I'm sure I'll be able to get a job once I'm college. It'll be tricky without job experience I can list, though, won't it? Like, 'I helped power a city by holding hands with people' probably isn't what people are looking for."
