There was a long, lengthy pause on Junpei's part, as he took a few breathes to calm himself down. He still wanted her to be checked out at the hospital, just in case something was still wrong with her. But right now, she was asking questions-- questions he didn't want to answer, but had to.

"It's... it's what didn't happen."

He was looking at her, but he couldn't find it in himself to look her in the eye.

"You... you didn't wake up. When we got up to the roof, it looked like you'd... you'd just fallen asleep, but you never woke back up, and by the next day, you..."

His voice caught in his throat, and he looked back down, shaking his head. He needed a moment before he could continue.
