No, she definitely wasn't the touchy-feely type. Sure, they were friends, but she was comforted more by words than touches. That last question was asked, and it felt almost as though time just...stood still for a couple of seconds. Did he not make it... for HER...? She immediately felt some anger boiling to the surface. Anger, mixed with sadness, mixed with even more confusion- and, as a result of the confusion, even more anger.
Their senpai had been shot by Takaya. He had bled to death on that cold, hard ground just months ago. There was just no way in hell he could have survived from that. They'd arrived too late to heal him. They'd shown up just in time to watch him...stumble away and- And, a flash of frustration appeared as she spoke. It obviously hurt her to say the next two sentences, in spite of her trying to look completely firm with it.
"What-...What are you talking about...?" Her teeth clenched for a moment, then she added, "He's dead. There's no way he made it for some of us, and not the others. We had a service for him, and everything. Just- just stop it, alright?"
She could feel herself losing what grasp she'd maintained in order to keep herself even a little calm. Her voice had risen toward the end, so it'd be no surprise if a couple of people shot a glance their way. That hand close to her chest tightened into a tight fist. She didn't like feeling as though her mind was being toyed with- though, she doubted Junpei was doing it on purpose. He wouldn't joke about something like that. He was always up-front with her, unless he was teasing her about something stupid.
...So, there had to be someone- or something messing with his head, somehow. Maybe it was something similar to that time in Shirakawa Boulevard? Shadows like that had all been taken care of, though, so that theory was a bust. Maybe she was right, from the start. Maybe it had something to do with Strega. She could feel herself become more, and more mentally exhausted. As a direct result, she was losing more, and more of her grip on remaining even a little calm. Her expression likely revealed that, too, considering she would be picking the wrong guy to be hiding it from. She felt a desire to just up and scream in frustration. She knew that wouldn't help, of course. So, all that was left was to investigate the place thoroughly. She'd start by questioning people. Junpei included. That was, if she could get him off of the track of telling her that bogus story, or whatever.
"Look, Junpei, none of that is remotely possible. We need to get everyone together and try to get out of here. Clearly, your mind's been...brainwashed, or whatever. Just...help me find the others. We're going home."
