[Open] Runaway Kitten!

Who: A kitten, his owner, and YOU
Where: All over the city
When: 2/23-2/28
Summary: Banchou the kitten loves to explore but doesn't know when to not go in certain areas. His owner isn't sure to be amused or groan.
Warnings: Kitten appears at random. No really.

If anyone knew Yu Narukami, they would see him as a dependable and maybe a little weird kid. He also happened to love cats and if he had his way, the apartment would be filled with them. But when a couple months ago brought little fuzzballs that at first made people get stuck and then was the fear of snow monsters, Yu had to have one. And one...just came up to him. Liked him immediately and the boy thought that if the little guy wanted to stay then he wouldn't mind.

But there was a problem: Banchou the kitten liked to explore. And when someone says explore, they mean somehow get out of the apartment and end up in the strangest places. Like a cabinet, a trash can, someone's shower, the list goes on. Now Yu would stop him from doing this if it wasn't for the fact that the little bugger was like a ninja and wasn't seen. And somehow even when he gets put in a cat carrier, he gets out without notice. Hence why the bugger needed a bell.

Sadly, this was one of those times when the kitten thought exploring would be a good idea. It might be bad for the other residents living in the city.

(OOC: Feel free to have Banchou be anywhere your character is. Yu will also be running around trying to find him as well. Get creative and meet a kitty!)

"Yu! Yu are you home?" The words ring out in the hallway of Building 3 as Diarmuid makes his way from his room down toward Yu's. He knows that Yu has a cat after talking to him and his roommate at Cupid's Christmas party, and he can't help but think that the frightened black kitten in his arms at the moment is that very cat.

Hopefully, once he finds Yu, the boy can explain just how his kitten ended up in the puppies' food bag. The last thing Diarmuid had expected to find when he went to feed them that morning was a frightened kitten! Though, at least that had explained why the puppies were barking and pawing at the bag so much even though there was a little food left in their bowls from the night before...

And one of those rare times, Yu is home and without a doubt hears the little boy call out for him. Wonder what has Diarmuid worried...

His front door opens and pokes his head out, seeing the boy as well as a familiar little black fuzzball in his arms.

"Diarmuid? Is everything-?" Well, that sure is his little kitty. "Banchou?"

It's a brand new day, and there are things that need to get done. But they don't need to be tended to immediately, so Shinjiro had decided against the alarm clock the night before. The bed is toasty warm, and he's curled up under the sheets, sleeping like a brick.

Few things would or could coax him from slumber right now.

"Oh, good! He is yours!" The kitten grows squirmy when he hears his name and Diarmuid carefully holds him out to Yu, "I found him this morning when I got up and I remembered being told you had a kitty. I was hoping he was yours. The puppies scared him. Poor little guy..."

The kitten gives a pathetic mew as if agreeing or maybe he is just trying to escape again, who knows?

"Yu? Is your kitty magical? I know he wasn't in our apartment when my brother and I went to sleep, but he was in the dog food bag when I got up this morning!"

A dripping wet Shura in a bathrobe knocks at Yu's door, visibly annoyed. The cat in the pocket, meanwhile, in trying to untangle his tiny claws from the threads of the fabric.

When he found not one, but two kittens curled up in the laundry pile in the corner of his room, he couldn't help but wonder just how Suna had ended up with a double. The mysterious newcomer was really friendly, but if they belonged to someone else, Sora wanted to find their rightful owner. He wasn't really sure where to start looking, though, and Suna was acting like she didn't want to give up her new friend anytime soon...

Well, it couldn't hurt to take them both for a walk, right? Sora wasn't sure if most people even walked cats - he had never had any pet before, except Dream Eaters (which didn't count, really), so this was all new territory for him. But Suna would follow him around the apartment building without wandering off or anything, so probably this cat would be just fine, too...right?

Anyhow, if Yu happens to be wandering around outside of the apartments, he'll find Banchou with a new friend following a weird spiky-haired short kid around.

It was just her usual day: hug a stranger, start working on jewelry and a few leatherworking projects, play with her kitten when she demanded attention. Gods, it was like suddenly having a coeurl kitten again - except no getting large enough to ride or growing whiskers known to give electrical shocks and cause paralysis. Not that she minded too much. The felines could be temperamental at the best of times!

Except today did not seem like just another day, as she could have sworn that, somewhere in the pile of fabrics she's recently purchased, she could hear the sounds of a bell ringing...

"Hm?" She peers over curious, before she realizes exactly what it is. "Why, 'ello there little one! Whatever are you doing in there?"

...This kitten looked a bit familiar, now that she thought about it. Hm...

He had never seen Banchou so scared before; normally he would be fine around dogs but as he held the little guy, Yu could feel the shaking.

"Magical? Not that I'm aware of but he does have a habit of getting into things he's not supposed to be. I'm still wondering why a dog food bag of all places."

Like purring maybe?

Check your head Shinjiro: it's gotten heavier since the last time he checked. Like a kitten sleeping there because it was nice.

'Uh oh, she doesn't look too happy.' was his first thought as he opened the door and spotted Shura there looking rather annoyed.

"Is...everything alright?"

That's because the kitten should be familiar if she remembered the snow monsters rampaging through the city at one point. But as Banchou looks over at the other...big kitty human thing, he just rolls over in her fabrics and mews happily.

Were you using that for anything? Because there is now black fur on the fabrics and he could give a care less.

Shura just...took the kitten, untangled its claws, and handed it over, her dramatic effect ruined.

"I'll count myself lucky if my Jack Frost doesn't start attacking cats on sight." Because technically it wasn't her who found Banchou, it was Jack Frost. She was in the tub, you see. But she'd have to dive out of it to save Banchou from a Bufu spell after Banchou spat at Jack Frost and clawed him in his big scary grinning face.

Not many do walk cats since most of the time they just end up getting dragged around in the end. Now Yu was heading back to his apartment when he noticed that someone was walking a couple of kittens. It would be odd but not in this place; it's just another Tuesday apparently. But what caught Yu off guard was one of the kittens...it looked very familiar.

"Excuse me," he called out to Sora. "May I ask you about one of your kittens?"

Well, Jack Frost does have a scary face when it comes to something small like a kitten. So he more than likely scared the poo out of Banchou but that didn't mean that he was right in going in Shura's apartment.

"Sorry about that. Are you and Jack Frost alright?"

"I'm immune to all forms of attack so his Bufu did less than nothing to me." Not that at her level a Bufu would have done much damage.

"Jack Frost will live. I told him the scars would make him look tough." Good thing Jack Frosts are a bit naive.

"How did your cat even get in my apartment in the first place?"

"I wish I knew. He just somehow shows up in the oddest places without a warning."

Maybe he should've named him Ninja.

Considering the poor little guy had to deal with two loud, energetic puppies who were bigger than him and not by a small amount, Diarmuid doesn't blame him for being more scared than usual! Hopefully, he will calm down quickly now that he is back with his owner again.

"I don't know, but I hope he doesn't do it again. The puppies have never seen a kitten before, plus he smelled like their food! They might have tried to eat him if I hadn't been there!"

Okay, so the chance of that is pretty slim, but Diarmuid would have felt bad if the little kitten had been hurt in any way...

"A teleporting cat, uh. Interesting." Shura looked at the black kitten. "Maybe it's an up and coming Bakeneko. Hopefully he lerned to stay away from my apartment."

Oh, yeah, that whole leash thing. Sora hadn't even thought about that. What do you mean cats wander off sometimes?

Sora's luck stats are pretty fantastic, though - Suna just likes to follow him around outside, though unbeknownst to Sora she'll probably get sick of that in another week or so, and her new friend was cooperating for the moment, too. But he turns to Yu when he hears someone calling out to him, and shakes his head a little.

"Oh, only one of them is mine!" he says, pointing to Suna. "The other one just showed up in my apartment a little while ago."

Fortuna hadn't really been paying attention to the bit of extra weight in her coat until she realized there was some extra heat in one of her pockets. A dip of a gloved hand into that pocket brought out a kitten, and she stopped where she stood in the doorway of her apartment with the little thing, looking around for its owner. Just how had it gotten into her place when the door was locked? She knew she'd have heard it if someone else had broken in.

A bell would probably be useful for everyone. Davesprite doesn't even notice he's trying to bat away twice the number of helpful noses from his art for the first little while.

…though, well. It's not like these pictures would have looked any better without two kittens getting in the way, let's be honest.

She was slowly placing it, especially with her own little furball mewling at the other. Oh right! That boy with the strange summon! What was his name again...?

Sigh. She never did have a thing for names on the best of days, least of all in battle. Right now though, she was more concerned about the fabric - at least it could be easily remedied, but instead she pulls out a spindle of hempen yarn.

"Wouldn't you rather play with this?"

"You and me both. Everytime when I set him down in his carrier or his bed he darts off to who knows where." he couldn't help but sigh as Banchou squirms out his arms and back into the apartment for now.

"Would you like to come in?"

"I really hope he knows it too."

Dammit cat, you gotta learn not to stand up to demons like that!

Of course the other would just show up, maybe he ended up eating some fish off the counter or something like a derp. Yu really hoped not.

"I figured. Banchou has a habit of showing up in random spots."

At the sound of his name, Banchou did scurry over to Yu and starts crawling up his leg, only to have the teen scoop him up in his arms.
