"You probably don't have to do anything. They're not interested in soldiers or knights, or whatever warrior they can get their hands on," Lightning replies, managing to keep the snarl out of her voice as she folds her arms. If they need those kinds of people, things would probably be a whole lot easier on Lightning.

But no, they don't. They just want puppy piles in the middle of the streets and people to cuddle all day long. She really hates this place, and a good deal of that hate comes from that very fact.

"You've read the letter-- all they want are people to keep touching each other. We're just here as power sources."

And yeah, she was very pointedly ignoring his request for her name-- for now.
