Now that his bow isn't under threat, Gordin should hopefully be more consistent in his mood. And Cu Chulainn is giving him something to be distracted by, at any rate; he's grateful for that much at the very least.

"I have, really! Actually, I should thank you for reminding me of how important it is; I've been through a lot with this bow, so I should be kinder to it. Promise on my mother's heart that I'll take care of it as it deserves."

He can't resist a little salute, falling easily back into old big-brotherly habits. Sure, it's been years since Ryan was anywhere near this small, but it's enough to make Gordin's smile all the warmer with fond nostalgia. It only stands to reason that having such a small hand in his (something that would normally set him into a frothing panic) only worsens his currently sappy condition, but at least he's 'mature' enough to hold back any homesick sobbing for later. No one needs to deal with him weeping over missing his family all of a sudden.
