He at least understood enough of what Junpei was saying to not reach out for the IV with his other hand, but that didn't deter Minato from trying to move regardless, shifting slightly to left so he could get a better look at who appeared to be his friend - as much as he wanted to believe everything he was hearing now, he was more than used to anticipating the worst having already seen Aigis before when she had never been where he was.
The only problem was that Junpei was speaking exactly the way he remembered his friend to be, friendly and lively, with just the touch of playfulness. And even if he did turn out to be an enemy, it wasn't as if Minato had the strength to fight back...he raised his hand higher, struggling to get up at the same time by using his other hand to support himself.
"Wouldn't they already know that?" His expression was bitter and sad as he finally managed to rest his back against the bed, still staring at Junpei. "And when did you get here? You never showed up in the contacts..." The words were said quietly, as if he couldn't bear to see what was directly in front of him.
