He's not sure how much older qualifies for an older brother in this case, but...Hey, older brothers can always bond a little over younger brothers, right? That thought alone is enough to encourage a little spark of hope.

He's not yet aware of the fact that he isn't actually alone, that his lord/saviour/idol/friend since early pubescence is here with him; the relief that that knowledge will bring him is nowhere to be seen right now.

His tone lowers a little to match the frown starting to sneak onto his face. "I was going to go home in a few days, just to see my family. I've been away for a while training, and I really miss them.
