He takes in the words confirming that he needs contact, but assumes that he'll be able to handle more than the average person here. He'll go a week without--he isn't interested in getting that close to anyone for any length of time unless someone gives him a reason to strangle them--and see how it goes. The last thing he plans to do is follow orders like this blindly without knowing for sure. He isn't going to succumb to another HYDRA.
