what do you call a bird who avoids contact?
Who: Kagerou + OPEN
Where: Dist. 4 -- near the pond.
When: Sept. 3rd
Summary: A dumb bird robot child ignores the sound advice of his robot elders and goes without contact way too long.
Warnings: Robot stupidity.
[Up until now, he'd just been roaming. Wandering. He didn't want to get too close to the human beings -- the robots, though, he watched them quietly, from a distance. Unwilling to get involved.]
[He didn't think anything of it when he started to tire. He figured it was nothing more than stress to his systems. Nothing rest and quiet wouldn't fix. But it hadn't. It only got worse. And worse.]
[Until the ninja bot barely felt like moving at all, let alone flying, transforming, or anything that would take him near others again.]
[He was huddled against the base of a tree, overlooking a pool of water. His frame wouldn't stop trembling. It wouldn't stay the proper temperature -- it kept fluctuating -- his wings hung limply against his back, rather than being folded neatly. Everything ached, but no system diagnostics showed any sign of damage or infection. So what was it...?]
[His arms wrapped more tightly around his knees, holding them to his chest.]
[He'd have gone to one of the mechanics, or even Shadowmaru, if he were in the facility. If he were home again. Here... here he felt utterly lost. He couldn't even summon up the energy to find the robot who greeted him.]
[So he did the only thing he could think of.]
[He buried his face against his knees, wishing he weren't here alone. Because that was productive.]
