All aboard the misery train, choo choo
Who: Bucky, Ironhide, Chromia, and also ANYONE who would like to bother him.
Where: 2nd, 3rd, and 5th Districts
When: September 16th to the 22nd
Summary: Who knew killing a dude when you were brainwashed would come back and bite you in the ass?
Warnings: Mentions of assassination. Uncharacteristic moping.
[Bucky feels at a loss. He doesn't even know why, but he's upset. Upset over a mission he can't remember doing that he probably didn't even have a reaction to at the time. It's in the past, so why should it matter? But his mindset on these things is different from others, and he's too aware of it. He alienated a new ally before he even met him. Without even knowing. He doesn't even know what good this knowledge is, and a significant part of him is angry at Steve for putting this information forth like it would help something.
Maybe it's helped Stark. He doesn't know. All he knows is he feels like the one ally from his world he'd gained through his own actions--his, not Bucky Barnes'--might no longer be one. Perhaps Stark will never want to speak with him again, or worse. It's a possibility, he realizes, even if he can't remember the significance of his own familial relationships.
He wants to do something to repair this, and he has to try, but he doesn't know what to do. He doesn't even know where to start.
He contacts the people who might be able to tell him: Chromia, for understanding how hard it can be to reconcile your past actions with your current goals, and Ironhide, who knows what it's like to lose so much memory, and to have others who knew you during that time.]
TO CHROMIA:
you said getting attached made things complicated. you were right. i need to talk to you
TO IRONHIDE:
we need to meet and talk
[The time not spent speaking with them is used looking conflicted, staring through the windows of various stores like the items inside will solve all his problems and paying less attention to his surroundings for once. He's too distracted by trying to solve a problem he hadn't even considered a possibility, and if he bumps into someone with the harder of his two arms, well. At least it'll get him to focus on something outside his head.]
