He glances at her after her she moves closer and gives her a small smile, grateful for the distraction and change of subject.

"Yeah, I'm pretty good at keeping myself up when I put my mind to it," he says as he hits the button to go to the ground floor, slipping into a less gloomy tone of voice. "And I can always take a nap later."

Granted, he's supposed to have work later this morning, but... he doesn't think that's happening today. Even so, he hardly ever takes days off, so he doesn't think it will be that much of a problem.
