Too Spooky.
Who: Shinju Gouka & Friends
Where: Building 3, 2-01, Shinju and Yu's apartment
When: Friday Evening to Sunday (18th to 20th)
Summary: Shinju gets a little paranoid and hides in his apartment; friends come over, shenanigans ensue.
Warnings: Scary movies?
Shinju wasn't exactly one to take menacing shadows very well. His past experiences had told him to trust his instincts when he felt like things were wrong, and a couple of days of the cold feeling he got walking around the city was enough to make him worry.
So over the course of the weekend, he decided to call his friends (or in the case of neighbors, knock on their door), trying to make sure they were all alright. He might be called paranoid, but he'd rather know than ignore his feelings and end up terribly wrong.Unfortunately, he didn't realize that if any of them were feeling worried, a nervous call would probably make things worse.
He'd mention in his calls (and visits) that he was probably going to stay at his and Yu's apartment to try and relax. In other words, he was holing himself up inside in the hopes that whatever might be out there wouldn't get to him. His friends were always welcome to visit him either way, so maybe they could help calm him down or join him in his cowering.
[OOC: Don't forget to say what day your character's coming over!]

Her last statement catches his attention, though--she seemed sociable enough to him... "Really? Are you not involved in any clubs or anything back home?"
no subject
Pilouette trails off. She wonders if it was bad to not be involved in anything back home. "Um, what about you? Were you in like, uh, clubs and stuff?"
no subject
He picks out a last piece from the box before sitting back and munching on it.
"But you know, you don't really join clubs because you're good at something--you join them because you want to learn and get involved. I'm sure if you found something, the people there would be glad to teach you things."
no subject
"That makes sense...I guess it never hurts to learn something new. I guess I just didn't want to get in anyone's way, you know?" She tilts her head thoughtfully. "It's definitely something to think about when I get home. Heheh, like, I'll join the drama club for real. I mean, it is kinda fun..."
She sighs quietly. "But it might be a while before I need to really think about that, huh?"
no subject
He takes a moment before replying, musing that Pilouette probably wants to go home as much as he wants to stay here. As nice as it is (compared to what it could be), it's still a different world full of strangers.
"Yeah, I guess it might be. But we'll get back eventually, so it doesn't hurt to think about it now," he suggests. Not to mention the fact that two of his friends had already been sent home suddenly...
no subject
"I guess you're right...really, we're all only gone for one teeny second back home," she replies, smiling just a little. "When you think about it, one second in the future, we're already back, right? ...Maybe I should take pictures while I'm here, though..."
Thinking about missing home or being stuck in a foreign world is a little gloomy, so she tries to lighten the mood. "But you mentioned you did fencing and swimming, right? So I guess you're kind of an athlete or something, huh?"
no subject
A sheepish half-grin came to his face and he rubbed the back of his neck.
"S-sort of, I guess. I really did it just for the fun of it and to hang out with friends... I'm not into competing that much." The fact that it kept him in shape was just a bonus. He really needed to get back into doing something active...
no subject
She fiddles with her hair a bit before letting out a small chuckle.
"To be honest, like, I've never really been much good at sports myself. Even like, the dumb non-sports like dodgeball and stuff."
no subject
But Shinju isn't about to let her get away with complimenting him without returning the favor. Now he just has to figure out what would be a good topic...
"It's really like anything else," he says. "You get better with practice, and it's easier to practice if you like it. But sports aren't that important in the long run, anyway."
no subject
"I guess that really is the only way to get better at stuff...," she replies. "Like how I am with cooking. When I started out I could barely make pancakes on my own, but now...Um, well, I'm not really great, but uh...well, I can feed myself, I guess."
Not that she considers being able to cook at her level to be anything special, but...well, she supposes she's improved at it. Still, she can't help but frown, just a little. "But...I think there are things some people can't get better at no matter how much they practice, you know?"
no subject
He can't help but agree with her next statement, replying with a thoughtful nod. Still, he can put a positive spin on it...
"Sure, everyone has their weaknesses, but there's always something someone can be good at. They just make up for what they can't do with what they can."
no subject
Though, since she can't doing anything, doing what she can is more or less doing whatever other people ask her to do. She frowns just a little, thinking for a second before smiling just a little nervously and speaking.
"Hey, um, I-I know I said it earlier, but sorry again for just...showing up like this. Like, I'm not keeping you, am I?"
no subject
"You don't have to apologize, I'm glad you came over. I've been having fun talking with you."
no subject
"Oh! Um, I've been having a lot of fun, too!" She replies. "A-And if you ever want to come over, you're like, totally welcome at my place any time, okay?"

He does seem less tired than he did when she first arrived, but still...she doesn't want to overstay her welcome.

She nods politely. "Well, I'll see you around, then!"
