Summary:Duo hosts a bonfire. Food and drinks with a chance of demons and spirits.

Duo had seen fit to have a decent spread of snacks, but he hoped most people would bring there own. Two big packs of hotdogs, a crock pot of canned chili, a couple bags of chips and the option between Soda, hot chocolate and hot apple cider was on a table near the bonfire he'd put together, closer to the trees than the water. On the matter of the equipment however, he really just borrowed a few things, without asking. Technically he stole them with every intention of returning the cooler and the thermoses for keeping the drinks warm. To be fair, he bought all the food.

However, he'd skipped another day of human contact out of just plain ole neglect, and he was starting to feel the onset of those flu like symptoms. He shut the food that to stay cool into the freezer and lay down against the logs he'd placed around the pile of scrap timber and wood he'd picked up around town and the beach, shutting his eyes for a while. Sundown was still a little while away. Wouldn't hurt to take a nap.

And if he weren't a little bit on edge, the shadow spirit and other strange sites stalking him and others, and the fact he was about at half speed made him just a little bit jumpy. If anyone should approach him before he awakes, they might notice the pistol in the holster inside of his jacket, within arms reach. Or they might just startle him awake.

Barring that, they'll find him putting the finishing touches on his little party and getting the fire started.

[ Despite the number of spooky things going on, Madoka's still true to her promise to come help out. This time she has leftover goodies from passing out treats to the newcomers, mostly in the form of cookies with whipped frosting and sprinkles on them although there were some plain sugar cookies. In the jars are slices of bread that have hardened to keep the rest of them soft, all while she hopes no one would be silly enough to eat those.

For the most part she'll be greeting people when they arrive, but a little later in the evening she can be found perched next to the bonfire with her hands a little too close in order to keep warm. ]

[Duo steps up to Madoka from behind, that is, after looking at all her goodies. Nice.]

Hey there. You certainly had a big haul with these treats, didn't you?

There weren't that many newcomers as I thought there would be. [ Laughing nervously. ]

--But that just means there's more here for everyone else!

[Nami is, predictably so, staying near the water. She's actually sitting down for a moment, the end of her tail dipped in the river proper. She's liking the atmosphere so far, and it's nice to be around others who're enjoying themselves.

She looks back to the bonfire, thinking that she'll move a bit closer after a bit.]

[Glad to see you here, Nami. He sees and waves to you while he munches on some chips and roasts a hotdog.]

[Nami waves back and smiles. Does she feel like heading closer to the fire now? Maybe for a little bit.]

Hey Duo, glad I got to see you. Looks like you're already enjoying yourself.

Heh. Yeah.

[He walks over and leans against a nearby tree.]

I'm pretty good finding some way to have a good time. But this is in the decent circumstances. Could be a lot more difficult.

Let's be glad that it's not. Besides, the others look like they're having just as good a time here, and that includes me.

Does any of the food here have any fish in it? It's something I want to avoid.

[It takes Diarmuid a little bit to find Duo near the newly started fire, but once he does, he wastes no time pointing in his friend's direction so his brother can see him.]

There he is, brother!

[He takes Cu Chulainn's hand in his free one--the other is holding a bag of candy--and pulls him toward the fire. Once they arrive, he calls out to Duo and holds out the bag of candy.]

Duo! Remember the person I wanted you to meet? This is him! We brought some candy to share with everyone!

[Cu Chulainn eagerly waves at Duo.]

Hello, Sir Duo! I'm Cu Chulainn! And I'm really glad to meet you. Thank you for inviting me and Diarmuid to your feast!

Heeeey, Dia. [He waved to the older brother from the stoop he was sitting on.]

Yeah. Likewise.

Cu, huh? And no problem. Kinda figured it was a good idea. [He stands and reaches out his hand to Cu. Shaking hands, might as well.]

There always has to be a bonfire for Samhain, right brother?

[Diarmuid grins happily at the other boy before turning his attention back to Duo.]

I didn't get to have my picnic before the bonfire...

[They kind of got distracted by almost burning their apartment down. Oops.]

...but you have a lot of food here! We can all eat around the bonfire and talk there. Hey, do you know The Moonwalk, Duo?

[He grabs Duo's hand and shakes it eagerly.]

Yes, my brother is right! Samhain is important, so there should be lots of bonfires and feasts!

[He looks over to Diarmuid.]

I'm sorry we didn't get to have one...

[Maybe if the weather was warmer. It's getting cold now.]

Should we show Duo the moonwalk, though, Brother?

This is close enough to a feast as anything else, I'd say. Then again if I had known I'd put more effort. That and a few people aren't here yet.

So drink and eat and be merry and all that jazz.

Eeh? Moonwalk?

[Diarmuid shakes his head and pats Duo's arm.]

It's okay! You did a great job. There is a nice big fire and lots of food. What else do we need?

[Suddenly, he giggles and looks to Cu Chulainn.]

It doesn't look like he knows The Moonwalk, brother. Come on! Lets show him!

Diarmuid is right! This is already very exciting, and the food looks delicious!

[He gives an eager nod at Diarmuid's comment.]

Alright, brother. On the count of three, we dance!
