Spirit visions
Who: Kotaro and you
Where: Out near the festival and then near room 2-14 of building 2.
When: 27th, afternoon and then into the night
Summary: Kotaro gets touched by a spirit and then has a nightmare
Warnings: Sad Kotaro due to spirit affects. Also a note not to ball of light- heal him in the first prompt (since it would cause a paradox for the second prompt) but feel free to save tiny scared bitty vampire in the second!
[Near the festival] Kotaro was going to the festival again! Yesterday was so fun and now he got to have fun all over again. He skipped along humming to himself when he saw a small figure out of the corner of his eye. He turned to grin but saw that it wasn't a person just a shadow. "Huh? Who are..." The spirit reached out to touch him.
Everything was cold for a moment before he heard play shouts and saw the boy pretending to be a dinosaur! That looked fun! He grinned and ran with the other children before looking back and seeing the building explode, he was flung backwards and then it hurts. Kotaro was back on the street like before, no buildings were exploded around him.
"I'll help you!" The spirit had vanished though and Kotaro felt all sad, that had been a sad thing to see. He wondered where it had happened.
He wandered a bit further looking to see if anywhere looked the same as it had in the vision. He had lost his bounce, and was quiet as he walked. No matter where he looked he couldn't see any exploded buildings though, and he wondered if maybe he had seen something that happened a long long time ago.
[Nightime, building two] Kotaro had tried his best to cheer up, but it was hard. Even the stalls of the festival only made him smile for a short time. He just felt really tired so he decided to go to sleep early. He had been staying up really late since he got here, since there was no big brother or Mimiko to tell him to go to bed. But today he went to bed really early.
However in the middle of the night he was woken up by a really scary nightmare. Like the vision he had had but it was his brother and he got hurt, Kotaro couldn't move at all to save him. He woke up with a cry.
"Big brother? Big brother?" He padded out of his room and out of the apartment rubbing his eyes. "Big brother?" He had gotten down the corridor before he remembered that he was in this place and his brother wasn't here. He sniffed as he tried to not cry, it wasn't very hero like to cry, but he missed his brother and wanted to go home! His sniffs turned to hiccups and muffled sobs.

"Big brother..."
This is where he went when he vanished from the other post. o_o
He's leaning against the wall, out of breath.

He spotted the figure though and blinked at them, recognising them as someone who had helped him before, so he went over. They weren't his brother but they were nice at least.

"You are... weeping," he murmurs. "What is wrong?"
Looks like they both could use a nice therapeutic hug....

"I don't know." He practically wailed, "I... I had a nightmare and everything feels sad and I just want to go home and see big brother and Mimi."

September has no idea what to do with a weeping child--he wouldn't know even if he was feeling well. Is this a normal reaction to nightmares and loneliness? He doesn't remember any of the children he'd observed doing this very often, if at all.
A thought comes to him, though. "Did you... encounter one of the... shadows?"

He's never comforted someone before. His telepathy is dulled by the withdrawal, so he hears no thoughts. He wonders... if this is one of the reasons other beings can do this so easily.
"We are seeing their memories."

He is very still, but strangely not as stiff as he would have been. He hasn't enough energy to be stiff and awkward, after all. Instead, he's relaxed and his mind is drifting sleepily from exhaustion.
"Yes. But no-one knows how to reach them to help them," he murmurs.

"I do not know," he answers softly. "I cannot see where the events are in time. And I suspect that if I attempt to find out, I will only become more ill." He shifts slightly, removing his hat and leaning back against the wall a little more comfortably. "It is unfortunate." He seems to want to say more but he's too weary for words.

Only then does the thought come to him that the child had been wandering the corridors alone. He looks down at him, head tilting.
"Why are you out here?" he asks, and one could swear there was a curious tone to his voice. Maybe.

alskj;ldghd... spine-melting cute...
And yet somehow it never occurred to him to purchase a wig or put on some fake eyebrows.
But I digress. Right now, he ponders how best to comfort a frightened child, mainly by attempting to remember what little he may have observed directly or read in passing. The concept of reassurance comes to mind. Cut off from his own world, the boy was seeking reassurance.
"Do you know anyone here?" he asks softly.

It finally occurs to him that he should start with the little boy happily snuggled up to him. "I do not know your name, though," he says.
His eyes are slipping shut again and the thought idly comes to him that maybe he should find someplace more comfortable to rest. The rest of him soundly fails to pick up on that notion and instead he finds himself remaining right where he is, still and warm and quiet.

"I am called September," he answers softly.
He finds himself lightly resting his hand on Kotaro's head again.

Instead, he gently pats Kotaro's head. His telepathy is putting itself back where it belongs, but all he's picking up is sleepy delta waves and all he looks for is where the boy lives so he can take him back home.

Still, it's smooth going from the corridor to the door of Kotaro's room. September pushes the door open and looks about for a bed to tuck his wee companion into.

He stops, feeling reality fuzz around him. He almost falls out of this part of spacetime altogether, but concentrating on his location manages to keep him there for at least a little while longer. Long enough to pull up a chair and sit down by the bedside, Kotaro's small hand in his.
Hopefully the boy is asleep by the time he vanishes.
