Shinjiro narrows his eyes, not quite following for a few seconds until it hits him.

Akihiko was from a world where he did die. No wonder he's so ridiculously clingy and worried about him here. When he goes home, it's just him.

Shinjiro is ready for death when it becomes his time to go. He didn't go day by day afraid of dying. Even his doctors at the hospital reminded him that he wasn't gonna be the same person he was before 'the accident'. It's a miracle he's still alive. But it hurts thinking about how Aki's going to take it when he does pass on. "This is why I shouldn't be around people..." he thinks to himself. With each attachment, he hurts others more and more.

He's quiet, oblivious to Aki's question.
