The problem is, Ashe is not only unused to these effects thus quite susceptible, but she has no damn issue with singing in public. She's also a medium, and so a bit suggestible. So when she gets caught in the rain on her way back to her new apartment, and hears him singing, she catches the mood herself and falls into step nearby.
Her voice is actually pretty good, though of course she sounds nothing like Don McLean.
