Not a special day. Just a day.
Who: Pilouette and you
Where: District 3 and later, District 1
When: December 9th, Early afternoon through early evening
Summary: Pilouette runs into people during a typical day of selling sweets and post-work shopping.
Warnings: Possible bouts of silliness?
In the six months or so that Pilouette has been in Saeng Seong, she's managed to get used to being there. She's not necessarily happy about it, but she's gotten used to it. Over time, a neat little schedule eventually built itself up and today isn't much different. For most of the afternoon, Pilouette will be at her job, working in a small sweets shop in District 3. During her shift, she might be behind the counter or straightening. Just out of habit, she greets anyone who walks in with a smile and an automatic "Welcome! How can I help you today?"
After work, she heads over to the mall. She mostly window shops and, though she's not intending to actually buy anything, Pilouette spends an especially long amount of time of time looking at various small pieces of furniture. There wasn't much in her apartment that wasn't there when she arrived. After all, much of the furniture looked pretty pricey and she's not sure she really needs any of it, as nice as some of these things would be to have.
A bit later, on her way home, she makes her way to the grocery store to do her usual food shopping for the week. Along with the regular things like potatoes and milk, Pilouette looks over the various native foods, trying to decide what new thing she wants to try this week, carefully inspecting the various fruits and vegetables. Before long, she's on her way back to her apartment, groceries in hand. She's sort of come to enjoy the walk home.
...It's not home. It's just her apartment.

[Surprised, she stands up straight, nearly dropping her broom. She frowns a little, concerned. After all, someone blacking out while trying to see the higher ups? Not great. Pilouette lowers her voice just a bit when she next speaks.]
They've started telling us more stuff, so I was starting to feel a little better, but...geez, that's like, way shady! Maybe there's more to worry about than I thought...

Mgghhh...This is starting to sound like one of those scary movies, you know? The ones where everything looks like it's just fine, but then there's a twist at the end where it turns out the people in charge are totally evil...! ...I-It's probably not like that, though. I mean, those are just movies, right? This is like, real life.
[Part of her is trying really hard to convince herself that nothing is wrong. It's just like a movie plot! And stuff like that doesn't happen! ...Even if they were sucked into another world, where she had been plagued by ghosts and was freezing in the middle of summer and...
Huh.]

A lot of things happen here that normally don't happen in life. [ He.. thinks... at least.. judging from talking with others. It's not like he himself has much of an idea of what's normal and what isn't. ]
So shouldn't we be prepared for anything just in case?
no subject
I...I guess that's right, but with the kind of stuff that happens here, that's like, an awful lot of things to be prepared for. Being prepared for like, colds or blackouts or whatever is one thing, but...it's hard to see stuff coming in this place.

[ He finally stands up again instead of awkwardly squatting there, mostly so he can step back over to her to properly talk since this is something that's important to learn. He knows all about being prepared for anything with motorcycles appearing out of nowhere and attacking flower pots and god knows what other weird things happen over in Jojoland. ]
You can do that much, right?

[She can't help but wonder, just for a moment, if every conversation she had with Josuke is going to be serious like this. Maybe it's just the way he is. As someone who tries hard to be taken seriously, she has to admit...it's kind of cool. Plus, he's an adult and he's taking her seriously and she doesn't want to screw that up. She clenches her fists determinedly and nods.]
Y-yes! You're right! Uh, a-as long as I stay on my toes, I shouldn't get in too much trouble!
no subject
[ And he probably means it. Since, well, yeah, he's being as serious as ever. But what else do you expect from a guy as weird as he is. ]
No matter what might happen in this place, I'm glad to have met you. [ Saying the sappiest things with the straightest face to boot. ]
no subject
What. Part of her is kind of happy because that's some serious praise right there. No one has ever said that to her before. On the other hand...no one has ever said that to her before. At least not in such a serious way. People really say things like that in real life?!
Oh, geez, she should probably answer before this gets weirder.]
Uh...Y-yes, you, too. I mean, me too! Th-that is, um, I'm glad I met you, too! So, I'll keep doing the best I can to help out, no matter what you need me to do!
no subject
Thank you. I'll try to not ask for too much, only the most necessary things.
no subject
[She reaches up and starts fiddling with her hair.]
W-Well, whatever it is, like, don't hesitate to ask, you know? I mean, we're all kinda in this place together. So, even if it's something small, I'd be happy to help!
[Because if she's helping other people then that means she's doing something useful. Probably.]
no subject
Maybe I'll ask you if there's anything I don't understand. That seems to happen a lot in this place..
[ .. granted, for good reasons. ]
no subject
Uh, s-sure thing! And if I don't know either, um, I'll do my best to find out!
[Though, she doesn't feel entirely confident she can do that. Maybe she can change the subject to something she does know about.]
Oh! Um, did you decide anything about the sweets?
no subject
[ Finally remembering where he is too, apparently.. he glances back at the sweets, frowning hard in thought, but then he just looks back to Pilouette. ]
I'm not sure yet. Is there any particular kind that girls like? [ Totally subtle question, right. Not suggestive whatsoever. Nope. ]
