I Could Have Danced All Night...
Who: September and you. Yes, YOU.
When: 14 February.
Where: Here and there in town.
What: He bought a rose for Ashe. It ended up being One Of Those Roses.
Warnings: DANCING. So. Much. Dancing. You will get danced with if you get too close.
The presenting of a loved one with an example of Rosa Gallicanae is considered traditional on 14 February, which is why September is exiting a florist's with a red rose in his hand (only after the poor colourblind sap asked the shopkeeper what colour it was).
He... should be used to what happens next, by now, but he likely will never be. So he's taken a little aback when the strains of a waltz float through the air for no reason and from no source and... he starts to dance. First it's just walking in 3/4 time, then there's a turn here, a long step there, and the next thing he knows, he's taken hold of the nearest bystander and is literally waltzing them down the sidewalk. As usual, his dancing is precise and expressionless but bizarrely intense.
Might want to get out of the way if you don't want to dance.

Once he's in range and hears the question, he attempts to side-step out of Diarmuid's way. "I do not know," he answers, as expressionless as usual. "Though I suspect that it is one of the localised effects that often occur in this town. I have not yet found the so--" Whups, his sidestepping ended in a pivot that fetched him up against a very large, muscular man who blinks cluelessly as he is now swept up in the dance. September and Big McLargehuge (who shrugs in a surprisingly amiable fashion) fall into a strangely well-executed merengue for several beats.
"Hyu danz pritty goot for leetle guy," the large man rumbles in an unplaceable accent. "Thank you," September answers, ever polite. A couple bars later, the large man releases him, chortling. "Dot vos fon," he rumbles, ambling away.
September nearly stumbles, but manages to keep his feet and whups, got too close. Time to learn the foxtrot, Diarmuid....

"This is a funny ex-periement! I don't know what could be learned from it!" He falls quiet for a while, focusing on following and then tilts his head up at September, "Does this dance have a name? It's not like anything I know..."
