Oh, god, that dumb face was getting worse. Rogers was also obviously making a valiant effort to stay polite, which could only mean that Tony looked even worse than he thought. Crap.

Fortunately, Steve's idiocy was enough to pull his thoughts away from... things that should not be mentioned, and Tony rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, I know, obviously. No, he hasn't 'done anything'." He supplied the air quotes just in case it wasn't clear that he'd heard that implication, fixing Steve with a disparaging look. If Rogers was going to try to mother hen him, he could at least have the decency to be upfront about it.

"Weeks, not days," he corrected casually. "You didn't come to visit, it's pretty rude. You were pretty rude. Look, are you gonna need a play-by-play of what you did here? Because you're going to want to ask one of your buddies for that, not me."
