And back again [open]
Who: Steve Rogers and anyone
Where: Tony's room and around the city
When: February 23rd
Summary: Steve comes back after staying in his world for about 70 years. Cue making sure that Tony is okay and reorienting himself with Saeng Seong.
Warnings: Steve being a grumpy old man.
[Locked to Tony]
Steve wasn't very happy, to say the least. He thought that he would be getting a little time to himself after the battle in New York, time to maybe adjust to the new era or at least see how much had changed since his frozen slumber in the ice. But no, he woke up in another unfamiliar place without any warning. Of course the unfamiliar place became familiar once his memories came rushing back. Saeng Seong, right. He was... small when he was last here. It seemed so long ago. Steve briefly wondered if any of his friends were still here, how much time had passed in this place.
Oh, and Tony. He was here before. So was Loki- and okay, he needed to see if his teammate was alright and if Loki had done anything since his disappearance. Exploring the city would need to come after.
With that task in mind, Steve headed to Tony's apartment and knocked on his door, trying to remain calm despite the frustration he was feeling. He was getting sick of being transported to places without knowing how much time had passed.
[option a; open]
After being reassured that Loki hadn't done anything destructive yet and getting an explanation on how much time had passed, Steve decided that it would be a good time to walk around Saeng Seong again. Although, barely any time had passed since he was gone, almost the opposite of how it was on Earth.
Figures. A small part of him wished that only three days passed when he took the plane down.
Still, he had to do this. It wasn't like he remembered every single detail of this city... and he just really needed the fresh air. So Steve could be found around the districts, stopping every so often at different shops with a look of surprise. Surprise that it remained unchanged even though he knew it had only been a short amount of time. Or Steve could be seen walking down the street and turning his head at everything in almost a daze.
[option b; open]
Afterward, Steve was just sitting down on a bench in the park, staring down at his folded hands and looking a bit distracted. He needed a little time to take this all in still. Maybe he was overreacting, but just seeing the city almost unchanged... it was just a bit mind-boggling to him.
"Just three days..." Steve mumbled to himself, although his voice was clear enough to be heard. He also was a little angry about everything, but he tried to keep things to himself as he sat there on the bench.

b!
She probably had an affinity for strays, considering her life. A few of those strays were now looking and tilting their heads at someone on a bench, naturally drawing Lightning's attention too. The man looked familiar, and for a moment she couldn't place it, until she remembered seeing someone with almost the same face and hair, even if they had completely different body types. A relative, maybe?
Lightning gave one of the dogs one last pat on the head before approaching the man. Okay, so she wasn't entirely sure why she was going to talk to him, but it was probably curiosity. Maybe he was related to the scrawny little man she'd met before and they didn't know about each other's presence just yet.
"Hey. You're new around here?"
no subject
Regardless, Steve looked up when he heard someone address him, looking a little surprised upon seeing Lightning again. She was familiar- he spoke to her once, the outfit and her hair really stood out. However, her words slowly started to sink in and he gave a little sad smile in return.
"Not quite. Been here before, but I was much different then." He couldn't blame her for not recognizing him, Steve knew that he changed a lot since then. "We talked once, gave you the low-down of the districts."
no subject
But something in his wording made her think, too. He used "been here before" and "then", like it's been a while. The kind of language one would use when they'd leave and not come back until several years have passed. She'd heard it a lot from tourists coming into Bodhum. Just didn't think it'd happen here.
"I'm guessing there's a long story behind this."

"Damn," he mutters. There goes his plans for twisting Rogers against Stark. Though, last he checked, even the heroic Rogers wasn't Stark's fan. Maybe he could still manipulate them against each other.
no subject
"Loki!"
He immediately stood up from the bench, already looking tense and ready for a fight in case Loki did something. Unfortunately, he didn't have his shield on him, but that was what he got for being distracted. It was a little weird to think that he liked talking to the Asgardian back here, but with his latest attempt in trying to take over the world, Steve didn't feel like being friendly right now.

He took a step back, eyes closed in a wince and rubbing his nose as he mumbled an apology.
"S-sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going..."
no subject
"No, I'm sorry-" He trailed off as he noticed the familiar shaggy brown hair on his friend, except he wasn't really used to looking down at him like this. Steve really didn't take into account how different it was going to be talking to his old friends. "...Shinju?"

Feel the warmth in your pocket Steve? If that didn't set him off, the little black kitten poking his head out and meowing would certainly get his attention.

"Hey... what are you doing here?" No one could resist a kitten though, so Steve eventually smiled a little as he gently pet it on his head. "Trying to find your owner?"

Option A /o/ 3rd District near Naoto's Agency okay?
As such, Naoto was outside with a shovel when she noticed a man pass out of the corner of her eye. She didn't think much of it-- until she noticed the gentleman's profile. Looking up from her work, Naoto's eyes widened as she took in the young man. W-wait, that face... but that body?!
"Ah, excuse me!"
A relative, perhaps? But he looked too similar! An alternate version? That was highly possible, but she had to be certain!
fine with me :>
He hoped that he was right, so Steve managed to force up a polite smile as he greeted him. "Good afternoon, Naoto." It was good to see the young man again, despite all the circumstances. "Take it that recognizing you might have helped clear some things up."

Yet this distracts her enough that she doesn't hear or see who she's walking into until she bumps into them - and promptly stumbles a bit.
"Oh-!" She blinks a little, surprised. Wow, what a tall hyur. She has never seen a hyur as tall or muscular who wasn't...well, Ala Mhigan. "P-pray forgive my carelessness."
She's usually so much better than simply bumping into people, but shiny metal strips of unknown origin...
no subject
Still, he rushed out an apology as he looked at the cat person in front of him. "Oh- no, it's okay. It was my fault. Not the first time I bumped into someone today." Steve tried to remember if he talked to someone like this before, but nothing was coming up. So it was someone he hadn't talked with when he was small, which was all good to him. Talking to someone new would be nice in this place. "Sometimes I forget I take up so much space."

It's while she's walking home that she spies the forlorn figure, alone on a bench. She recognizes him instantly, even if...something's different. They had never met in person, so she can't quite put her finger on it, but certainly something's changed from the time they spoke.
She was just about the approach him when she mutters, causing her to hesitate. He sounds...
Frowning, concerned, Aqua quietly sits down on the bench with enough space for friendly politeness.
"...Are you alright?"
no subject
Although, this person looked rather familiar to him. They had a conversation before, right? Over the network about... war? He couldn't remember all the details anymore and Steve felt bad, but he tried to go along with this still.
"I'm okay, sorry if I worried you at all." It was sorta a lie, but he didn't want to trouble someone with all his problems. So Steve tried to direct the conversation away from himself. "Good to see you doing well... Aqua, was it?"

It's probably best not to ask how he's managed to piece together two more suits since Loki appeared in Saeng Seong, but he's elbow-deep in circuits when JARVIS alerts him to a knock at the door.
"Captain Rogers for you, sir. It appears he's returned."
Tony allows himself only the amount of time it takes to extract himself from the innards of the third new armor to be puzzled about Rogers' mysterious reappearance before--ouch, stiff, maybe should have moved a little in the past five hours--going to the door, muttering about a certain scrawny shit. He realizes only just too late that JARVIS switched from the previously requested "Mr. Rogers" to "Captain," when he opens the door and what was once eye-level is now pecs.
Cap-less vacation is over, apparently. Crap.
Tony looks up grudgingly--hi there, height difference, definitely didn't miss you--and fixes Rogers with the most snide expression he can muster past the fog of sleep deprivation, touch withdrawal, alcohol, caffeine, and the beginnings of a nervous breakdown.
"Hey, you're back, alright," he drawls flatly. "So which version are you this time?"
no subject
He feared that Loki might have hurt him, did something to his teammate while he was gone. Steve wouldn't put it past that guy. His worry and concern was overriding most of the anger and annoyance he was feeling, he'll have time to himself later to mope and punch things.
A small wave of relief went through him when Tony started to open the door, although a lot of it disappeared when he noticed that Stark was looking slightly more haggard than usual. It wasn't completely obvious, but Steve could kinda tell. Now at least. To a point. Still, he managed to answer Tony when he asked him that question.
"The one that knows you now."
He remembered being angry at Tony a lot while in this city, upset that he kept on comparing him to Captain America. Well, he was Captain America now. And everything that Tony said would happen, happened to him. Didn't mention anything about Bucky though. But that wasn't Stark's fault, it was his own and nothing would change his mind about that. Besides, he didn't even remember anything when he was back on Earth.
If he remembered, maybe he wouldn't have said those awful things to Tony's face in the Helicarrier either. Of course, he didn't exactly like Tony here either when he was small, but it might have made some difference. It was just another thing to get pissed off about, his memories suddenly coming and going without notice. But the focus was on Tony now anyway. Especially since he didn't know what exactly had happened yet. "Tony... are you okay?" It was a dumb question, but that was just the first thing that came to mind after everything.

"You are different," he says after a moment. "I did not think humans from your era lived that long without ageing."
no subject
"September." He sent him a polite smile, even if he was brooding he could still be nice to someone that he talked to before. Although, that smile wavered a bit when he heard his next words. How did he...? Steve knew that September had something to fix with his own timeline, but he didn't think...
"You... know? How much time passed for me?" Steve looked really surprised, to say the least. And maybe a bit suspicious.

America didn't see Steve at first, he was smiling up towards the sky, cheerful as he typically was.
no subject
...Besides, it would be nice eating in an old time diner again.
He spotted America out on the street corner and it was easy to remember the spirit of the country that he fought for back in World War II. Steve figured it would be good to say hello, maybe even talk to him a little about the war, or the 'future.' He'd be able to understand what he was talking about at least, America had lived through everything.
With that in mind, he started to walk towards the country. "Sir?"

"Are you okay-?" M'gann starts to say...Until she gets a good look at him; then she has to pause.
"Ah, excuse me, but...You look familiar. If you don't mind me asking, have we met?" Because yes, he DOES look quite familiar; almost like someone she's talked with before, although his shape is quite a bit different from what she has in her memories. Actually, it's a pretty drastically different body shape, point of fact.
...ARE YOU SECRETLY A MARTIAN, STEVE.no subject
"I'm fine." Not a complete truth, but he was a bit distracted himself.
"We have." The question wasn't too shocking though and he heard it before. And Steve knew this wouldn't be the last time it was asked of him. He might as well get used to it for a while. But for now, he sent her a small smile as he confirmed his identity to her. "It's... Steve. Steve Rogers. Just a foot taller and twice the weight. Could probably fit in that red, white, and blue costume now."

A for "adding to the deluge."
He was adapting by keeping his skills sharp. Earlier, he'd been adapting by using his holographic imaging tech to help store owners with their layouts, but now, he was in an alleyway, throwing birdarangs at a wall. He'd long-since stopped trying to hit the target and had reduced himself to trick shots-- running and jumping, somersaulting, under a leg, over the shoulder...
The alley had been so quiet for so long, he decided to try another over-the-shoulder, and this time, without looking, flinging a simple, non-explosive birdarang at the opposite wall, not hearing if someone was finally walking up until it was too late...
no subject
Well, that could have been dangerous.
He immediately looked towards the direction of where the birdarang came from, ready to either fight or scold the person that did this. It could have been an innocent bystander instead of him.
