And back again [open]
Who: Steve Rogers and anyone
Where: Tony's room and around the city
When: February 23rd
Summary: Steve comes back after staying in his world for about 70 years. Cue making sure that Tony is okay and reorienting himself with Saeng Seong.
Warnings: Steve being a grumpy old man.
[Locked to Tony]
Steve wasn't very happy, to say the least. He thought that he would be getting a little time to himself after the battle in New York, time to maybe adjust to the new era or at least see how much had changed since his frozen slumber in the ice. But no, he woke up in another unfamiliar place without any warning. Of course the unfamiliar place became familiar once his memories came rushing back. Saeng Seong, right. He was... small when he was last here. It seemed so long ago. Steve briefly wondered if any of his friends were still here, how much time had passed in this place.
Oh, and Tony. He was here before. So was Loki- and okay, he needed to see if his teammate was alright and if Loki had done anything since his disappearance. Exploring the city would need to come after.
With that task in mind, Steve headed to Tony's apartment and knocked on his door, trying to remain calm despite the frustration he was feeling. He was getting sick of being transported to places without knowing how much time had passed.

After being reassured that Loki hadn't done anything destructive yet and getting an explanation on how much time had passed, Steve decided that it would be a good time to walk around Saeng Seong again. Although, barely any time had passed since he was gone, almost the opposite of how it was on Earth.
Figures. A small part of him wished that only three days passed when he took the plane down.
Still, he had to do this. It wasn't like he remembered every single detail of this city... and he just really needed the fresh air. So Steve could be found around the districts, stopping every so often at different shops with a look of surprise. Surprise that it remained unchanged even though he knew it had only been a short amount of time. Or Steve could be seen walking down the street and turning his head at everything in almost a daze.
[option b; open]
Afterward, Steve was just sitting down on a bench in the park, staring down at his folded hands and looking a bit distracted. He needed a little time to take this all in still. Maybe he was overreacting, but just seeing the city almost unchanged... it was just a bit mind-boggling to him.
"Just three days..." Steve mumbled to himself, although his voice was clear enough to be heard. He also was a little angry about everything, but he tried to keep things to himself as he sat there on the bench.

psssh don't apologize I kinda info dumped on you
"... If morality and honour were things that were important in the selection of ones who would receive the serum, I can see why you were chosen, Rogers-san."
She tilted her head, other questions forming in her mind.
"Out of curiosity, how much time has passed for you?"

"About seventy years for me." Steve was expecting a question about his youthful appearance still, so he elaborated. "Wasn't awake for most of it. Stuck in a coma and didn't age during that time."
no subject
"Seventy--!"
She couldn't help that outburst, before he continued to explain. A coma, and he didn't age... She blinked a moment, before shaking her head, taking it all in.
"I suspect the shift in the world probably came as a great surprise to you, then."
Was there anything she could do for him? Maybe...
"...If you need any help with catching up on the events of the world, or perhaps some help with modern technology, I'd be more than happy to help you, Rogers-san."
It was the least she could do for a man thrown out beyond his time.

Steve seemed to lighten up a little at Naoto's offer though. It was very nice of the young detective to offer something like that to him, take the time to teach an old man about the new world. "I'm very grateful for the help." He didn't want to be too much of a bother, but it was a bit more difficult to research the history of his world here. The library didn't carry such things. Naoto was obviously very intelligent too, but there could be some differences in history, even though it seemed like World War II was mostly the same.
"Know that many things are different now, the change in society itself. Faster, louder, flashier, those were some of my first thoughts."

Let's see, the Korean War, the Cold War, the McCarthy Era, Vietnam, the Civil Rights Movement, the Assassination of John F Kennedy, his brother Robert, Martin Luther King Jr., reaching the Moon, Watergate, the fall of the Soviet Union, 9/11... Oof. There was a lot to cover. Naoto would need to make notes on what to discuss with him.
"...As well, I could teach you to use a laptop, if you're so inclined."
Listening to his description of modern times, her eyes softened a little, nodding.
"Things have changed drastically, that is for certain. Technology has done leaps and bounds, and we are more interconnected, yet distant from one another as ever. Even the expansion of New York City must have been quite the shock..."

Steve at least had some handle on technology, working with Howard Stark during the war and seeing some of the stuff HYDRA made was pretty advanced. So, he hoped that he'd be able to figure some of the things out on his own once he had it in his hands. "Think I'll be able to handle the technology part. Long as I don't push a button to make it explode, I should be okay." His tone was light, but he hoped that there was no such button on these things. It didn't sound like there would be, too dangerous for people to use.
"Seen some of this new technology first hand. It's amazing really, could do a lot of good with it." He was always for new technology, especially if it helped people around or made everyone more connected to each other. Sure he thought some things were unnecessary, but unnecessary things were always around even in his time. "But feels like some people are too engrossed in a lot of it."
