And back again [open]
Who: Steve Rogers and anyone
Where: Tony's room and around the city
When: February 23rd
Summary: Steve comes back after staying in his world for about 70 years. Cue making sure that Tony is okay and reorienting himself with Saeng Seong.
Warnings: Steve being a grumpy old man.
[Locked to Tony]
Steve wasn't very happy, to say the least. He thought that he would be getting a little time to himself after the battle in New York, time to maybe adjust to the new era or at least see how much had changed since his frozen slumber in the ice. But no, he woke up in another unfamiliar place without any warning. Of course the unfamiliar place became familiar once his memories came rushing back. Saeng Seong, right. He was... small when he was last here. It seemed so long ago. Steve briefly wondered if any of his friends were still here, how much time had passed in this place.
Oh, and Tony. He was here before. So was Loki- and okay, he needed to see if his teammate was alright and if Loki had done anything since his disappearance. Exploring the city would need to come after.
With that task in mind, Steve headed to Tony's apartment and knocked on his door, trying to remain calm despite the frustration he was feeling. He was getting sick of being transported to places without knowing how much time had passed.

After being reassured that Loki hadn't done anything destructive yet and getting an explanation on how much time had passed, Steve decided that it would be a good time to walk around Saeng Seong again. Although, barely any time had passed since he was gone, almost the opposite of how it was on Earth.
Figures. A small part of him wished that only three days passed when he took the plane down.
Still, he had to do this. It wasn't like he remembered every single detail of this city... and he just really needed the fresh air. So Steve could be found around the districts, stopping every so often at different shops with a look of surprise. Surprise that it remained unchanged even though he knew it had only been a short amount of time. Or Steve could be seen walking down the street and turning his head at everything in almost a daze.

Afterward, Steve was just sitting down on a bench in the park, staring down at his folded hands and looking a bit distracted. He needed a little time to take this all in still. Maybe he was overreacting, but just seeing the city almost unchanged... it was just a bit mind-boggling to him.
"Just three days..." Steve mumbled to himself, although his voice was clear enough to be heard. He also was a little angry about everything, but he tried to keep things to himself as he sat there on the bench.

"Hey... what are you doing here?" No one could resist a kitten though, so Steve eventually smiled a little as he gently pet it on his head. "Trying to find your owner?"
no subject
What? He wanted to cheer this stranger up before he went back to Yu, just letting him get lost in kitty attention. That's right human, pet him all you want.
no subject
"Maybe I can find information about your owner on the collar..." He gently pulled the kitten out of his pocket and checked its collar, to see if anything helpful was on it.
no subject
As for the collar, the only thing that was on there was a red bell. Obviously there was an owner but no name. Weird.
no subject
But for now, he started to walk down the street, maybe he could find the person while out here. It was nice to have a little companion that only meowed and wanted pets, Steve could do that without any problems.
no subject
Kind of odd that he didn't even notice Steve close by as he ran his errands and Banchou was too busy enjoying the pets to care at the moment.
no subject
"Yu?" He called out to him while petting Banchou still, hoping to keep the kitten content as he talked with others.
no subject
"Hey Steve, how have you been?"
no subject
"I'm fine. Just woke up in this city again, nothing out of the ordinary." He couldn't stop himself from saying that last part a little dryly. Nothing really seemed to faze Yu. "Ran into a kitten along the way. Know who the owner is?" Guess it wouldn't hurt to ask at least.
no subject
"Sorry, Banchou has a bad habit of suddenly showing up anywhere."
no subject
"Caught me by surprise. Little guy just popped up from my pocket, he's sneakier than most." Steve looked amused by it more than anything else. After all, he didn't mind having the fuzzball around. "Not the first time he escaped?"
no subject
But the bigger question wasn't asked yet and it was kind of needed.
"What...exactly happened in the past couple of days?"
no subject
Steve became more serious at the question though. He figured this topic would come up eventually. "Went back home. Years passed, came back here." That was the most brief summary he could make of what happened to him.
no subject
"How many?"
no subject
"Seventy. Almost, anyway." It was something that Steve had a difficult time accepting at first, but he knew that wasn't just some bizarre dream or hallucination. Not anymore. "Wasn't awake for most of it though."
no subject
"I'm...sorry to hear that."
no subject
But again, won't be easy.
"Not something that can be fixed overnight." He would admit that much out loud at least. "But lucky to be alive, right? Out here and meeting people that still recognize me, should count my blessings."
no subject
Even Banchou seemed to be a little worried and he pawed the air at the soldier.
"So...what now?"
no subject
"Nothing concrete right now. Just thought about exploring this place more, reacquainting myself with the city." With being a foot taller, it kinda gave a new perspective on some things. "Details are a bit foggy."
no subject
"I'll admit I haven't gone to that last district they opened up. Maybe start there?"
