Steve didn't know that Yu was Banchou's owner, but he still wanted to say hi to the kid. The last memory he had with him was flying on Izanagi, something that he did enjoy. He wasn't sure if he would feel the same way now and besides, he was a lot... heavier. Izanagi might not appreciate that.

"Yu?" He called out to him while petting Banchou still, hoping to keep the kitten content as he talked with others.
