Who: Pharos and open!
Where: Anywhere and everywhere
When: April 26-May 3 (aka the event
Summary: Who wants to play with a bitty dragon? Well, it's a bitty dragon that doesn't understand personal space, so good luck if you don't.
Warnings: None
This was not the first form Pharos had been in. Well, technically, this is the first 'Pharos' there as been, but he has memories of before this body is the point. He was expecting a new form in the future. Just... not this.
Still, it doesn't take him long to get used to it. In fact, this form actually makes for some interesting exploration possibilities. He's spent a lot of time surveying the city from the ground, walking around pretty much everywhere when he's had the chance. But now, he can get an aerial view, once he gets the hang of flying. Or... once he gets the hang of taking off, anyway. Citizens of the city might come across him when he's landed for a break or check out something (possibly landing on people if they're what he finds curious), or in the instance of him simply dropping out of the sky. Flying with actual wings is hard.

He stomps his feet instinctively, feeling frightened.
What...?!

What are you doing? You fell out of the sky onto my head. Forgive him if he sounds befuddled, it's not been a great day.

A kangaroo. It - I - am a marsupial.
no subject
"A... marsupial?" He clearly has no idea what that means. Perhaps he should try and read a book about animals or something so he would understand more easily.

Are you a human? When you are not flying into people?

This wings thing is crock at first. Absolute, utter rubbish. As is the urge to eat insects, but Pharos probably doesn't have to worry about that.
What's worrying this little bundle of feathers at the moment is, of course, the fact that he's just narrowly avoided being crushed by a similarly small black bundle of scales. Although the whole 'near death experience' thing is enough to keep him buzzing about in shock for a few seconds, something eventually clicks in Gordin's head and he dives down after Pharos with a surprisingly deep shout.
"Hey! Hey, are you alright? D'you have a rider?"
...Who knows? There could be tiny little wyvern knights here that he doesn't know about.
no subject
"What do you mean?" he asks, shifting around a little to look up at the bird and taking a break from flying while he reorients himself. And to make sure his wings don't get tired again.
no subject
"Did you come here with a human? ...Or-- Er, I guess you could be like me and you used to be human. It's just that people ride dragons where I came from, so if you have a rider, then they might be someone I know."
When he attempts to laugh, it comes out as a series of weird, rasping chirps. "Um, I know that sounds really strange. I just thought that I should ask; you're the first dragon I've seen here, and I didn't think it was possible that they would be part of the wildlife, y'know?"
Aaaand then, still a little fluffed up, he hops his way rather carefully down the slope that is Pharos' snout so that they can make eye contact; it's only polite, after all. "Either way, I'm glad you're not hurt. ...Or trying to eat me, but that's beside the point."
no subject
"You have dragons in your world?" he asks- Persona can look like dragons, but very few know about them, "Does everyone know about them? What does being a rider mean? Are you one?"
no subject
And the fact that his hopes are now dashed; no Minerva, no Tiki, no Xane, no more Akaneians. But that's no reason to be impolite to Pharos, right? Riiiight; might as well make friends to make up for the barrage of questions.
"Well if it makes you feel better, I'm not normally a bird! So we're even, haha!" he offers rather lamely, head cocking to the side. "But we do have dragons-- Well, it's a bit more complicated, I guess. We have wyverns, and we have manaketes! Wyverns are like horses, but they're, er. Dragons. That you can ride on, which is my point, though I'm just an archer so I just have to shoot them down. But riding one would be fun...And manaketes are...Hm."
How to put it sensitively? Really, even if he worships Naga as all Alteans do, how do you explain the lore of a race when you've only met three of them? "They're a race of dragons-- I suppose they're smarter than the wyverns, I never thought about the difference so I couldn't really tell you, but they can turn into people and back again! It's really neat, and the manaketes that I've met have all been nice people."

Pharos sits on the ground, curling up a little around himself. Flying is tiring. He'll just rest while they talk. "So you've met people who are dragons and are capable of changing their forms?"

They were gathered there as they usually were most days, Red wanting everyone to have the time to stretch out from their pokéballs and get some fresh air. Lapras wasin the pond, to the edge and mindful of the other creatures already in there, and Blastoise sitting beside him at the edge. The other winged one, Charizard, had her wings spread out, and Venusaur and Snorlax were both sat near her, Snorlax and Venusaur chattering away. Pikachu was also on Snorlax's head, adding to the conversation.
Red, meanwhile, was getting their food ready fromhis bag, taking out what he'd brogut for them.

Well, since he's by the pond, he'll walk (a bit awkwardly, since he's not used to it yet) over to Lapras and Blastoise. There's no reason not to try and talk to them, right? "Hello."
no subject
'Hello,' returns Lapras calmly, spoken to Pharos by thought than by mouth. Blastoise's greeting is more chummy as he holds a hand up in greeting. Hey there! Where did you come from, huh?

Wow! Cool! Are you another pokemon? I've never seen anything like you before!

[He's not introducing himself, because he feels like it should be obvious that it's him. Pharos doesn't get that changing forms might through people off a bit.]
no subject
Okay. Who did you used to be before, then?

[He can't recognize his friend like all while he's like this.]
How does it feel? Can we play together? Can you fly?
