open potluck
Who: Steve Rogers, Diarmuid, and open!
Where: The park.
When: October 17th
Summary: Steve and Diarmuid host a potluck in the park in hopes to get people together and to have fun. Anyone can join even if they don't bring any food along.
Warnings: none
With the announcement made and Diarmuid's posters out in the public, Steve could only wait and hope that people would come as they had promised. A couple of tables were set out and ready for people to put their trays on; Steve himself had already placed his dish on one. He also brought enough utensils and napkins for everyone, figuring that he could cover that at the very least as well.
Once more people started to arrive, it was a friendly atmosphere for anyone to start up a conversation, whether it be with a new friend or old. Good food and good company is enough to get anyone in a happy mood, right?Maybe
At least the day was nice and the area peaceful, a good time for something like this.

He still had many thoughts about this place. But he wasn't going to talk about them with Shinju, the young man didn't really seem interested. Plus, he didn't want to drag him into any trouble. "Just be careful out here, Shinju."
no subject
"Believe me, the last thing you have to worry about when it comes to me is getting in danger. I have absolutely no interest in anything remotely related to me being in peril."
After a moment, he squinted slightly at the fact that Steve was still standing, still clearly amused.
"Are you planning on sitting down to talk, or are you going to run away in a second?"
no subject
At the comment though, Steve moved to sit down next to him, chuckling a little as he did so. "You know that I can't run away from anything." Shinju was one of the few remaining people left that remembered him from before the serum. "Too stubborn to do so."

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you sound like a troublemaker," he said. "Then again..."
He made a face as if deeply considering the idea, eyes narrowed.

"And everyone thought Bucky was the troublemaker between us."
Historians, especially. Guess it was hard for them to imagine that Captain America was the one to get into fights and cause the most trouble between them. Not that Bucky never engaged in his own mischief, but people tended to forget that Steve grew up as a tiny guy with a bit of an inferiority complex. "Must be that ugly mug of his."
no subject
"Wow, maybe I should be careful about being your friend. Getting blamed for stuff and getting called ugly?"
no subject
"And can't promise you anythin' different. Wouldn't be fair, right?" Everyone should be insulted equally, clearly.
no subject
"I should stop being so nice, then, if that's how it's going to be. Can I start blaming you for my problems, too?"
no subject
"You can blame me, but I'll still keep going."
no subject
"But... if you want to watch your roommate eat it in front of you, I guess you could go ahead."
Knowing a little bit about how irritating Tony Stark could be when you hardly knew him, Shinju could only imagine what it would be like to live with him.
no subject
"You know when you have a bargaining chip."

Even though he was joking, it wasn't exactly a lie, either. He didn't threaten people with his skills in any way, but he knew how to take advantage of them and how to get people to like him.
