Summary: He's now run into plenty of people who needed warming up. Now, he's on the search for them.

[Konoha, personally, isn't terribly affected by the warmth of his own body. Sure, usually he feels a lot cooler than this, but it's not unbearable this way either. The people who're so cold that they're bundled up in layers and layers of clothing and still shivering seem so much more uncomfortable than he is. He's already run into a few of them. He's sure there are more.

So he's going out these last few days, on the lookout for anyone buried under clothes or shivering or looking cold in any other way. He'll approach you, unreadable, sleepy-looking expression his face, and when he speaks his words come out slowly as if he's carefully choosing each one, but it's not difficult to understand.]

Are you cold...? I can help.

[Maya's rather excited to have help, honestly.]

I-I'm fuh-freezing! [So much her teeth even chatter.]

What's going on?

I don't know. A lot of people are really hot or really cold... [Maybe everyone is sick. Colds spread, right?]

Do you need help? Um, if you want, I can hold your hand.

Thuh-that's gonna fix it?

[Regardless, she offers her hand readily, willing to try anything.]

I don't know. But people got less cold when I did, so it might help.

[He raises his own hands to take hers, wrapping his bigger ones around her small one and looking at her expectantly. Did it work?]

[She lights up.]

You're-- so warm!

[Shamelessly, she gets closer to him, pulling his hands closer as well.]

How are you so warm? This is so weird! [Nevertheless, she seems to find it a little amusing.]

[ It might not be immediately obvious that he's cold, but the entire reason Cloud's doing squats out on the beach is--yeah. Trying to stay warm. It's definitely warm out here, so why isn't he? Not like he gets sick easily. He's got an idea that it isn't natural and it might have to do with the announcement he saw before, but he's being stubborn and wants to try beating it out himself.

That he occasionally pauses in the exercise to fold his arms and shiver shows he's not having the most success in that... So he considers the kid seriously when he approaches, even if it's embarrassing. ]

Just a b-bit. You're hot? [ Was that how it worked? ]

[He's last person for anyone to be embarrassed around, really. Konoha simply nods to the question asked in return.]

Mm. I'm really warm, and it helps everyone who's colder.

Do you need help?

Yeah. Sounds like we could both use it. [ He pauses, and then offers a hand as if to shake. It's as simple as any touch, right? ]

[Konoha will take whatever is offered and return the gesture. He thinks a hug would work better, but if the man doesn't want it, he won't push it. He takes Cloud's hand without hesitation and stares at it for a few seconds, before looking up.]

Is it working?

[When the coldness first kicked in, Charlie hadn't minded that much. Free cuddling? Sounded like the perfect pick up line to introduce herself to some of the other girls.

That was before she started shivering. Plus, she could never seem to find her opposite when she needed them - so there she was, trembling so hard she felt like she was going to shake apart, buried in sweaters and feeling decidedly put out.

The question, therefore, doesn't find her in the best of moods.] How?

If you're cold, and you touch someone who's warm, it'll feel a little better. It worked for some people.

I'm warm, so I can help you.

[He holds out his hands.]

Thanks. [She smiles at least. She's thankful. Just lonely, and angry, and freaking cold.]

[He is never the person anyone has in mind. But he doesn't mind if he realizes that, just nodding and stepping a little closer.]

[ Nanoha's been dealing with this in her own way for the past few days, but there's no doubt that she had to step up her efforts in order to not have to rely on constant contact in order to go about her day. Whether or not she looks like she's dressed to fight that cold would depend on what the boy thought of her costume (minus the staff and glowy bits).

It probably had to do with how she had her arms huddled around her waist a good portion of the time, or rubbed her hands together when she wasn't doing that much. The Barrier Jacket was meant to prevent rapid temperature changes due to outside interference, so it wasn't helping so much, but it was still warmer than the clothes she had arrived in.

Nanoha had turned to face the young man and smiled at him after he made his offer. ] Hm, was it that obvious? I'm sorry to impose, but I'd like to take you up on your offer. [ And so the woman held out a gloved hand to him, chilly exposed fingertips and all. ]

[As far as Konoha had noticed, the hot people sat around not wearing as much clothing as the cold, bundled-up people. He doesn't know if that made it "obvious," but he nods anyway as he raises his hand to take hers. And he holds it, watching their hands for a few seconds before asking,] Does it help?

[ The relief is not immediate, but becomes apparent to her after a few moments of contact. She nods. ] Yes, it does. Thank you.

The changes make it difficult to concentrate.

Some people are changing between being cold and being warm. It probably feels bad. Are you changing too?

Huh? Oh, hey...

[Cold was understatement. Nami was shivering, and shaking, and just all-around feeling miserable right now. At that point, she had a pretty good idea of what it'd take to fix it and... Well, he did just offer.]

Thanks. You're a big help.

[She holds out an arm for him.]

[An arm? That's new. Konoha takes a step back so the distance is more comfortable and raises his own hand to take hers.]

... Here.

[With their hands together, Nami closes the distance between their bodies. Her other arm goes around him and soon enough, she's Konoha.]

Just long enough for me to get back to normal, okay?

Sure. You can pull away when you want to.

[His warmness is more manageable than her coldness, anyway. He just stands there because that's what you do right.]

[Kanonno's walking around rubbing her arms, trying to generate a little heat if she can. She too wants to help whatever opposites she can, but she's not very good at spotting anyone warm. They all look like normal people in the summer heat to her.

Not to mention this whole temperature thing is really distracting... to the point that she doesn't notice Konoha at first. It takes a couple seconds for her to respond.]

Oh hi Konoha. You're hot right now?

Mm. Since the beginning. People can change, but I haven't.

It's not too bad. I'm trying to help people who're cold right now.

I see. I've been switching back and forth since this all started.

Well, I'm cold right now, so wanna help each other out?

[She holds her hands up in a kind of "high ten" position.]
