Who: Everyone Where: Mostly Districts 2 and 3 When: 20th September Summary: In light of the new district reopening, there's still a lot to do! This log is open to everyone if they want to see what else is going on in the city, or help with some important tasks. Warnings: Inbox death may occur. System overload at own risk. SOME NPC RESPONSES WILL BE SLOW UNTIL THE ONE WHO PLAYS THEM IS PRESENT. I'm only happy when it rains... Some of the natives have been busy. There's a little stand set up in the plaza that wasn't there before. They have minions, too: people with clipboards are assaulting recent arrivals on the street with requests. It seems that most of the employees are helping with the district reopening, and that means everyone else is incredibly understaffed. But wait! Don't walk away! If your character helps with some of the chores around the city, they'll get a little money added to their stipend, as well as a coupon to the new store opening today in District 3. District 2 Residents will be asked to help hang up tiny twinkling lights in the trees lining the streets, nothing so fancy as during the summer festival but something with lasting power throughout the oncoming rainfall. There are water fountains that need to be insulated, gigantic mountains of leaves that should be disposed of, and plants requiring trimming. District 3 In addition to the winterization chores going on in the second district, the shopping district has their own problems to take care of. Large potted plants need to be moved inside-- that's a job for physically fit characters-- and little tents need to be taken down. Oh, and they need lights in the trees here, too. New Store There is a lot of excitable chattering surrounding the new store on the main shopping street. The sign is currently covered in plastic and unreadable. Boxes Near the water, groups of trees, or small parks, characters might stumble upon a group of canvas-covered boxes and someone desperately looking for help with them. There are a lot, after all. YOU MAY NOW REPLY. Thank you for your patience! NPCs will pop into the last two sections. Otherwise, comment and threadjack at will.

[ Honestly, Josuke doesn't even really know why he's here. He only just arrived a few days ago and was exploring the city and then someone asked him to help, and... well, with Josuke being Josuke, he couldn't just say no and walk away. So he too now is carrying around the potted plants - something that's fairly easy for him at least since he's strong - even though he's stuck in his own thoughts too.

But he still doesn't know too much about this place, huh. Not enough from actual people who live here, either way. So when he sees Suzaku helping out with the plants too, he can't help but wander over - even if Josuke is a fairly weird sight, a tall guy in a sailor outfit. ]

.. Were you one of the people taken to this place too? [ No "excuse me" since social customs are still.. not really something he's used to.. ]

[Suzaku turned at the voice and nodded politely at the boy who had spoken to him.] Yes, though I have been here for a couple of months now, are you new? [He knew a new group of people had just arrived, but he didn't actually know that many people here.]

I arrived just a few days ago, I guess that's probably "new" here. [ Unless other people arrived after them, but he hasn't heard anything about that.. ]

I didn't know they kept people here for that long though.

Yes, there are a few of us who have been here that long. [He nodded] How are you finding things so far?

[4balls]

... I'm not sure what to think yet. [ Sure, the request for help had seemed earnest, but.. he puts a hand on a hip as he thinks. ]

It does seem a lot like some kind of kidnapping, right? If they truly wanted our help, they could have asked us before bringing us here. I might have helped them out all the same.

[Suzaku nodded] It is kidnapping, though as we have seen a notable difference to the city since we began arriving I think they were telling the truth about needing us, they just went about it in a wrong way.

So that means they at least aren't liars. That removes one crime from the list.

[ Since lying while kidnapping people only makes it worse. ]

Even so, I can't exactly forgive them for going about it in this way. I will help them, but that is also since I need to return home for sure.

[He see's lying as quite low on the list of crimes compared to kidnapping, but he nods anyways.] I am sure many feel the same way, that if helping them is the only way to go home then that is what we must do.

Normally I'd just beat them up, but I don't think that's a possibility here. Not as long as we don't know exactly how they brought us here. [ Since they need the people in charge in one piece to bring them home, probably..

He also seems surprisingly calm about the idea of beating someone up. Probably since they're sort of bad people in his mind. ]

[He frowned but nodded] Yes, I do not think fighting is going to do us much good here [or he would have tried it already.] For now it is probably best to go along with them until we have a decent plan. [Until Lelouch comes up with one.]

.. Have people already been working on a plan like that?

[ He figures he should at least talk to those that have.. ]

I know someone who will be working on one. But he was ill soon after coming here so he has not gotten far yet.

[4balls]

I see. That must've set him back. [ Not that be gets much about being ill, he doesn't have experience with it, but he.. sort of understands in theory. In his own little way. ]

I hope he'll be able to continue that soon then.

I am sure now that he feels better he will be working on his plan once more. [Lelouch was never not scheming.]

[4balls]

He'll be sharing this plan with others, won't he? After all, we will probably all need to cooperate to be able to return to our own homes.

[ At least, it doesn't seem like there's much a single person could do. ]

He will be, he won't be able to do it alone. [Sharing was probably a strong word though...

[ Josuke doesn't know yet just how much Lelouch is.. well, Lelouch.. ]

I understand. If he requires strength or anything like that, then tell him he can always contact me. I want to make sure that the people who don't want to be here can be returned to their homes as well.

Call me Josuke. [ He always puts it like that since it's technically not his name. It is, but it isn't his real one.

Although after a moment he remembers that right, he should at least add a last name since the other guy did too.. ]

Last name Higashikata.

The same counts for me. [ He gives a small nod in return. It's easier to just copy this stuff off other people.. ]

I suppose I'll see you around too. We'll be here for a while either way with how many there are to carry around.
