Lights Out

Who: Everyone!
Where: City wide event!
When: November 27th
Summary: The end of the first round of storms occurs, and with a bang.
Warnings: Power outages, a certain amount of stumbling around in the dark

After several days of constant rain, it feels like something should give. And in a way, something does; on the 27th, the storm clouds appear a little more dark, and a lot closer to the ground, with a certain amount heaviness that no amount of torrential rain pouring out of them is easing.

There's still some tension in the air; an almost electric charge that gets hairs to stand on end.

The only warning is a dazzling whip of lightning that snakes out of the sky and strikes into the city. The thunder roars a second later...Followed by every light in the city going fizzle-snap and shorting out.

It may be a long day, and without much in the way of power.

"Guess a lot of folks skipped town when the energy crises happened here." It made sense, even though some people probably didn't have the means to do so. Steve still wanted to help this place because of that.

"Oh, about six times the size of this city. But New York City, the place I'm from, is divided into different boroughs because of the large population. Still all one city though, in the end."

"I see..." It sounded as if it was about as big as most the cities she knew (aside from Lindblum), and those were all the seat of royalty for their kingdoms. "It must be an important place, to be so large and populated."

"It's well-known around the world. Has Wall Street and the New York Stock exchange, both important parts in finance and marketing around the world." Even though the stock market did crash when he was around. Things were better now, but they had a war on hand instead.

Though she certainly had no idea what either of those were, she would take Steve's word that they were quite important. It was as she expected, though she had to admit hearing that it was a worldwide matter was intriguing. She only wished her own world was so put together to have such worldwide relations.

"It's strange just how different Gaia and your Earth sound. It never ceases to astound me how unlike the other worlds I've heard of are to what I'm familiar with."
