No, they shouldn't change, right? They were still countries. They would go home eventually. Yes, England couldn't lose sight of the bigger goal! There was no reason to get too comfortable.
He allowed the fairy to come out again, letting it hover around them. "Oh, good. Perhaps you got something from home, as well."

The little bird instantly took off and settled itself in Prussia's hair, fluffy and burrowing in. While Prussia handled the cloth with unusual care. Unfolding it revealed his flag which he promptly put around his shoulder like a cape.

"I wonder if this means there's a link somewhere in space that will allow us to travel back home," he said seriously, even as he reached over to stroke the little bird's head with his finger.

"Kesesese~ of course there is a link! They had to bring us somehow!" Prussia said.

Though it did feel like Christmas, sort of. There were happy people, presents, snow, decorations. England hadn't even been sure Saeng Seong was capable of celebrating holidays from other worlds, but it had been doing a somewhat good job incorporating everyone's ideas.
It was kind of nice.

He would be lying to himself if he said he wasn't happy about spending so much time alone with Prussia, though. Here they were, practically living together, without the duties of countries weighing on their backs. England wondered if he was just being sentimental because it was the holidays. Obviously, they had to go home. Eventually. But right now, this was something good, something England had always wanted.
Didn't mean he was going to stand around and get all mushy, though.

So no pulling away for England. Nope!

And so, the bird, the fairy, and the two nations left the welcome center to go spend the rest of their holiday alone and in peace.
