District Five, District Fun!
Who: EVERYONE!
Where: Newly opened District 5.
When: February 1st
Summary: A new district up and running, a new opportunity for shenanigans!
Warnings: Inbox death may occur. System overload at own risk.
A change comes in the evening, as the barricades in the fourth and third districts are carefully disassembled and put aside. What's more, a quick broadcast goes up across the network:
'The Fifth District has been opened; all are welcome to explore, this time.'
And sure enough, everyone can easily come and go this time around; there's no doctors or equipment on hand. And by the time the sun goes down and the passages are fully open, the new district is lighting up. And the glow from the lights is bright enough to chase some of the chill out of the night and leave the neighborhood open for exploration.
There's plenty of buildings, mostly catering towards entertainment of some sort (and even a few movie theaters, and a hot springs and zoo closer to the fourth district) but the real hub is along the river. That's where the boardwalk can be found. It stretches from the city wall to the border of the fourth district, and is lined with shops, features an aquarium, and at the southern most end contains an amusement park. Complete with a ferris wheel that is well lit up and shining bright against the sky as the sun sets.
Welcome to the fifth district.

'Yeah, it tends to be cold there.' Sometimes in more ways than just the climate. 'Makes being underwater, or operating in freezing conditions feel kind of...Familiar, I guess?' Though there is something to be said for just how FUN it is to be underwater, something M'gann demonstrates with a quick loop as she swims.
'By the way...Thanks for suggesting this. I think something different from usual is good.'

'That reminds me,' he said. 'I better warm up soon.'
He spread his arms and overturned his collection bag, letting the items fall out.
'Sorry, what's homey for you is hypothermia for me,' he said. 'I wish I would stay more, though. The lack of routine is good... we don't get enough work here.'

So instead she watches as all the contents get emptied out to form a small pile on the the aquarium floor; given a few days, they should disperse easily enough.
'O-oh; yeah, I forgot about temperature. Do you need any help, getting to the surface?' She swims over as she speaks, already giving Robin a once over to make sure he's okay.

'I might change my mind when I surface and hit the air, but why speed up the inevitable?'
He takes each chance to keep looking around, at the fish swimming by and what plants show in what layers.
The 'where he lives' comment is not unnoticed, but he doesn't comment on it. It wouldn't go anywhere good; he knows Kaldur well enough to guess that not mentioning it to him would be politeness, not malice.
'Wanna race?'

And gotten the notion into her head that she can always come back again, later for another swim.'Should…Should I switch back to having feet, though? Does having a swimming tail count as cheating?'
no subject
'No more than using your confusion to get a lead on you is,' he says gleefully.

She pulls off a pretty good mental shout, actually. Not enough to cause any headaches or make anyone pass out, but still PLENTY of indignation.
So he might have gotten a little bit of a head start; she's still going to swim up after him, and quickly. It takes a special amount of effort not to make her shape more streamlined, but M'gann reminds herself that she's already in a different shape for this race, and doesn't need to shift any more.

He reached for the light on the surface, and waved to M'gann.
"If I get pressure sickness or whatever, consider it karma."
no subject
"I don't want you to get sick…Just to not do that!" Yeah, she isn't able to put much indignation into her voice. This day has been too good, too fun for her to manage that. "It's not much of a race if we start at different times. And I'm pretty sure holding you in place with telekinesis would be cheating."
At least she's pretty sure that's how it works using Earth rules. M'gann shakes her head, splashing a little in the process.
"You okay, though? No hypothermia or…That pressure sickness you just talked about?"
no subject
He spins around and begins swimming toward the edge of the tank. Dodging a couple of the braver fish and shaking his hair out of his eyes, he figures M'gann follow, by air or water.
"Not going to test it, though. I wish I knew a good place for tea around here."
