Who's that pokemon?
Who: Cu Chulainn and Diarmuid
Where: Apartment 3
When: After 4/12
Summary: Cu Chulainn meets the new pokemon
[Diarmuid had gotten his hands on a big, strange egg. Cu Chulainn wasn't too sure what the egg was, even though Diarmuid had told him it was a pokemon egg. He had still tried to eat it at first, before Diarmuid stopped him and confiscated the egg. For several hours on end, Diarmuid had taken care of it, but it showed no sign of hatching. Cu Chulainn was starting to get a little annoyed at it.]
[Then at night, it had suddenly hatched into a strange creature, almost like a cross between a horse and a fish. Now, Cu Chulainn was glad that he hadn't tried to eat it. Of course, it was so tiny and delicate that Diarmuid did most of the handling. But Cu Chulainn was excited about getting to play with it in the morning.]
[Come morning, Cu Chulainn woke up late to fine his brother and the new pokemon gone. Not knowing where his brother had gone or what he was doing with the egg, Cu Chulainn sulks, lying down on his stomach in the living room. The puppies, first White and then Grey, clamber onto him, forming a dogpile. There they remain, not moving except for the puppies occasionally pawing at each other's faces. Only when they hear the squeaking of the door do they turn around.]

[Diarmuid falls quiet to think for a moment.]
We will need a lot of room. It will have to be big! I don't know how fast Lir will grow, but his mother is big!
no subject
Hm...then we need a room with more space! Which one of our rooms works for that?
no subject
[Diarmuid doesn't say while it is cooking because he is afraid if they stop watching it, they will end up with another fire.]
How about a place in the living room?
no subject
[He sets the oven to the highest mode.]
...But what do we do while the biscuit is baking?
no subject
[Diarmuid shakes his head and as he does, his eyes fall on Lir who is splashing around in the water for all he is worth.]
Do you want to play with Lir some more?
no subject
[He runs over to the sink and tries to pick Lir up out of it.]
Do you think he can ride on the puppies?
no subject
I think he wants to stay in the water! I don't think he could ride on the puppies unless one of us carried him. He's going to be a water mount when he gets big, after all!
no subject
[He sticks his hands in the sink and splashes some water at Lir.]
We'll play right here, then. Come on, Lir.
no subject
I will be right back!
[He then dashes out of the room only to return a few moments later with one of the puppies' ring toys in hand.]
Lets toss this to Lir and see if he can catch it!
[How, Diarmuid isn't exactly sure. Maybe on his nose or his head?]
no subject
Go ahead! Toss it!
[And Lir is making curious noises at the new thing that his trainer is holding. He's not the only one excited, though. White is panting in anticipation, ready to catch that ring.]
no subject
White, no. You need to sit and just watch. I am not throwing it for you this time, okay?
[Once it seems like she might be listening, Diarmuid turns and tosses the ring gently at Lir. The pokemon makes a happy squeaking sound and then catches the ring on his long snout.]
Look! He did it! Good job, Lir!
no subject
[Cu Chulainn jumps up and down in excitement. Once he's finished jumping, he pats Lir on the head.]
You did good! I'm sure you can catch bigger, faster things soon.
[He looks around and grabs a spare bowl.]
Do you think Lir can catch this too?
no subject
I don't know if he is big enough to catch that, but if you want to try throwing the ring, you can!
[He runs forward to take the ring from Lir, who trumpets happily, and then hands it to his brother.]
Here!
no subject
[Cu Chulainn takes the ring and backs away until he's next to the door. He then hurls the ring right at the sink.]
Catch, Lir! Catch!
no subject
Wow! Look at that! Good job, Lir! He really liked your throw brother!
no subject
Wow! He's so strong!
Your turn now, brother. Throw it as strongly as I did.
no subject
[Diarmuid retrieves the ring from Lir and then steps back to throw it. Lir doesn't have to jump quite as high to grab it, but it's still a pretty good throw for a little boy.]
How was that?
no subject
[He reaches to take the ring again.]
My turn again. We can switch places.
no subject
[Diarmuid claps his hands happily and then sniffs the air.]
The cake is starting to smell good. Do you think it will be ready soon?
no subject
I think it should be! After all, it smells done.
no subject
Do you want to check on it or do you think we should let it go a little longer?
no subject
no subject
It might if we leave it in there too long. That is what happened to the soup. Maybe we better bring it out to check on it. I don't want there to be another fire!
no subject
[He reaches to open the oven door. However, when he puts his hand in there, he has to draw it back because the inside is too hot.]
Oh no! I can't take it out!
