The changing colors and flickering lights

When: October 25th to October 28th
Summary: Ghosts and the like are still lurking about, but the citizens of Saeng Seong (native and guest alike) have never let a few hauntings chase away the possibility of celebrating a holiday!
Warnings: Occasional things going "boo", strange-colored food groups, and gun violence.

There is an old saying that whenever life hits rock bottom, the only way to go is up. It is likely the current mantra of the locals as they have done all that is humanly (or, well, whatever species they are) possible to deck out the city in as many red, yellow, green and white lanterns as they could. Some a kind of paper, some stained glass, and is that a few orange ones with weird faces hanging amidst the more traditional variety?

There is a stage for dancing upon and contests galore! Perhaps you've come for those, or maybe just the free food. Either way, this may just be what Dr. Mai prescribed to the unlucky ones to have a spirit or demon follow them around...

(OOC: Hello, players! We are in the process of posting these per day, so bear with us as we set this entry up. There are many stands surrounding the dance stage that are unoccupied, so if your character thinks up of something fun for everyone, feel free to make your own stand too!)

Down, White! You know better!

[Diarmuid puts a hand on the puppy's head and pushes her down to keep her from jumping anymore. He then points his brother toward the bathroom.]

She just missed you. Go into the bathroom and I will follow in a minute.

[beforetights]

[He nods and steps into the restroom. He holds his hand above the toilet, so all the blood from his cuts dribble into the toilet bowl.]

[Diarmuid soon joins him in the bathroom carrying a small box. When he sees what his brother is doing, he shakes his head and points to the sink.]

Over here. They need to be washed and then we can cover them with these!

[He holds up a box of band-aids.]

They are suppose to help cuts heal better!

[beforetights]

Really? Are they some sort of magic bandages?

[He goes to the sink, stands on his tiptoes, and turns on the faucet. He hisses as he sticks his fingers in the water.]

I'm not sure. Suzaku gave them to me in case I ever got hurt.

[Diarmuid watches his brother for a moment and then holds a towel out to him.]

Once they are clean, you have to dry them off really good.

[beforetights]

[He wipes his hands dry on the towel, smearing the towel with blood.]

Okay, all dry.

[smallspot]

[Diarmuid notices the blood and makes a note to ask Suzaku how to clean it off a towel.]

Put your hand out flat and I will bandage it all up!

[beforetights]

[He sticks his hand out straight and holds it still.]

Do the magic bandages stop my fingers from hurting too?

I don't know. Suzaku didn't tell me that.

[Diarmuid pulls out a few band-aids and very carefully covers the cuts on his brother's fingers.]

There! How does that feel?

[beforetights]

Mm...it still hurts.

[He tries bending his fingers.]

Hard to move as well. And it itches!

[smallspot]

I know, they feel weird.

[Diarmuid sets the box safely on the counter.]

Just give them a chance, okay? Now lets go back to the festival!

[beforetights]

Alright...

[He wiggles his fingers again.]

Can we take Grey and White with us now that we've come back? I bet they'd like to see the lantern I carved too!

[smallspot]

That's a good idea! I am sure they would like to go outside!

[Diarmuid rushes out of the bathroom to get their puppies' leashes.]

[beforetights]

[Cu Chulainn follows after him.]

[Of course, the puppies are excited to see the leashes. White especially tries to jump at Diarmuid and grab the leash in her mouth.]

[smallspot]

White...

[Diarmuid reaches down and taps the puppy on the nose.]

Be good and wait! I need to untangle them first.

[beforetights]

[White sits and holds still, leaving Diarmuid to work with the leashes. Cu Chulainn goes up to the puppies and pets first White and then Grey, making sure not to use his injured hand.]

Wow. White listens so much to you.

[smallspot]

Thank you, White!

[Diarmuid works to finish untangling the leashes as fast as he can, nodding to his brother at the same time.]

I'm glad she listens to one of us at least. That means someday, she will listen to both. I know she will!

[beforetights]

How do you make her listen?

[A pause.]

Wait, White is a girl?

[smallspot]

[Diarmuid nods, putting White's leash on and then gently grabbing her legs and 'standing' her up.]

I think so! I was playing with them one day and look! White is different underneath than Grey is! I was going to tell you and then the shadows and the festival distracted me.

[beforetights]

Really?

[He takes Grey's front legs and does the same.]

Oh, wow! They do look different! That's so cool!

[smallspot]

[Diarmuid nods, giving White a hug before letting her down on her feet again.]

You aren't mad are you? That she is a girl instead of a boy?

[beforetights]

Of course not. As long as she's a good puppy, I don't care. Though it's easier to take care of a boy puppy, I guess. I don't have any experience taking care of girls.

[smallspot]

I don't either. Next time we go to the pet shop, we can ask the clerk there what we need to do different for a girl. I am sure they will know!

[Diarmuid leans over to pat Grey and finally put his leash on.]

Shall we start back to the festival?

[beforetights]

Yes, we should.

[He grabs White's leash. However, as she runs and pulls on the leash, it grinds against his injured fingers.]

Ow!

[He lets go of the leash, letting White run forward, uncontrolled.]

White come back here!

[Diarmuid calls out after the puppy who stops and comes back, crouching down since she knows she was bad. He then looks at his brother.]

Are you okay? Maybe you should take Grey since he's a little calmer?
