"Oh, you guys are already used to it, huh?" He smiled a little, well it was good that they at least tried to make the best of things. The creation of those airships sounded really neat. "Do any of these cards have monsters that spawn from the Mist?" He looked over at the different drawings, some ranging from not too bad to really uh, threatening.

"That cactus can walk around and... fight?" Of course a normal cactus was a living thing and all, but not like this. They definitely didn't have a mouth for one. "And that one sorta looks like a floating fireball." He had the best observations. Although, Steve hadn't really seen monsters like this before.

Explaining what a bomb was to someone felt odd, even though she'd been here for months and had done it a few times already. Monsters were so common to her, and to come to a place where they didn't exist, or at least weren't widespread...
"I admit it's odd to think there are other worlds with no monsters. I'm assuming yours has none?"

"No monsters in the traditional sense. But some humans make up for that." He only had to think about World War II as an example of human depravity. And it was just one of many examples, if Steve wasn't lying to himself about it.

"Travel must be much easier for your world," she commented, trying to change the subject. "Have you been many places?"
no subject
"I haven't. Couldn't really afford to travel so much." He smiled a little, trying not to be too much of a downer. "But wouldn't trade my city for anything."
no subject
"What is your city like?" she asked. "Is it similar to this one?"

"How large would you say your city is compared to this one?"
no subject
"Oh, about six times the size of this city. But New York City, the place I'm from, is divided into different boroughs because of the large population. Still all one city though, in the end."

"It's strange just how different Gaia and your Earth sound. It never ceases to astound me how unlike the other worlds I've heard of are to what I'm familiar with."
