Flashy meets Slashy, Part 2!

Who: Tony Stark & Bucky Barnes. Later: YOU!
Where: First and second districts, possibly elsewhere
When: September 6th
Summary: A rematch for the ages, thanks to a little bit of malfunctioning dangerous tech. Later: Bucky roams around so people can point and laugh.
Warnings: Violence. Murderous intent. General Winter Soldier things.

[The former assassin thought he was beginning to improve himself, that maybe he could reclaim some part of his life that wasn't HYDRA and begin to move forward in earnest. He's been making progress towards that end and towards keeping the memories he's managed to get a hold of. He felt like he had purpose--that he was ready for whatever came his way.

It isn't that he clung to Steve so much that a day away makes him nervous. It's the thought that he might not return, that he might not remember, that brings him the most unease.

But instead of focusing on the things he can't change, he decides to focus on something he can do. Said something is currently taking a good look at the closed southern districts from atop a few roofs in the first and second districts. He remembers the warning given to them--that entering the places will drain their energy rapidly--but he wonders if maybe there's something hidden there, some reason for them to have kept these places closed when it's been pointed out that enough energy has been made to open them.

He doesn't really expect anyone to bother him, and he's fairly certain anyone he encounters will leave him be. It's not like he hasn't made peace (however shaky) with the one he had a violent encounter with the last time he was surveying things from a roof.]

[OPEN]

[To say Bucky is tired and in pain is a massive understatement. He's been tossed around and injured in more ways than he'd like to admit, and frankly, he doesn't intend to. He honestly could have nodded off in his room to speed up his recovery, but given that Stark is currently inhabiting the apartment, he thinks it's better to... go elsewhere, at least for the moment.

He decides to walk through the nearby districts, seeing what kind of collateral damage they left. A few dents and cracks in walls, a mark where he narrowly dodged getting blown up, bloodstains here and there--some his, some Stark's. He wonders if anyone saw them fighting, either the empty suit going berserk and attacking him or his attempts to hunt down the fleeing engineer. It would be nicer if no one did. He really doesn't feel like explaining anything.

At least he's in some less-tattered clothes now, even if he's only half bandaged up. He still looks like a mess, sadly, walking through the streets for no real reason except to get out of his shared apartment.]

[The Mark 42 isn't Tony's best armor. It really isn't. At best it has some cool extra bells and whistles. At worst, it's a pile of really expensive paperweights. Well, that's the theory, at least. Whether it's due to the recent technological weirdness in Saeng Seong, some malfunction that comes from being built by a man who didn't sleep for 72 hours, or a different malfunction from the same man tinkering for nearly a year, something in the Mark 42's programming goes wrong. Unfortunately, it goes wrong at the expense of one former brainwashed assassin (tentatively) named Bucky Barnes.

It's a series of malfunctions, really. The first was the suit's internal A.I. deciding to patrol the city. Maybe it's some weird approximation of muscle memory--Tony flies around, so the Mark 42 flies around. Maybe the A.I. is just stupid. It's not important.

What is important is that it's recognized Bucky as a threat. Because that explains why it's aiming and firing a missile at his current position.]

[Ironhide himself was out and roaming. Trying to figure things out for himself, trying to figure out what happened with Chromia... just... thinking. And he thought better while his feet were moving.]

[Hard to miss the damage around all of the sudden. Weird... maybe he'd had his head in the clouds too much lately.]

[He is alert enough to see the familiar figure, though. And calls out to him.]

Hey! Strongarm!

[Eiko is admittedly not feeling too well herself, having had the sense to try wandering into a restricted district herself. Why? To see if she can find out some dirt she could use on this place, of course. As expected for someone her age, it didn't go well. Not that she's actually going to up and admit it though.

Instead, she soon ends up back where she started: in one of the open districts, tired, drained, and looking quite grumpy at this point. Seems like she's not the only one too, with some other scruffy face scuffling around streets like some creepy guy-- Hey, isn't that Scruffy?]

Hey... [She tries to call out, but it ends up sounding like a hoarse cough. Ugh, this is annoying. Let's try that again!] Hey! You!

Did someone call for a medic?

[To say that the fighting had gone unnoticed by the local populous would be like telling Dumbo he had not seen a troupe of pink elephants thundering around his psyche while he was off his child rocker. Having been watching from afar, and observing the damage as the city seemed to slowly begin repairing itself, a doctor began walking back towards her apartment. Though with how much glancing around she's doing, and the medical bag in her hand, it is more likely she is looking for injured.]

[Chromia had been avoiding her apartment as of late. With what had happened at the aquarium, she'd stuck to being out and about, constantly mobile. It'd caused her to become somewhat recluse, and even she couldn't figure out why. Not saying that she was the epitome of social butterfly but...

Well, she and Bucky are alike in that aspect.

And it's here where she finds Bucky himself, looking like he's definitely seen better days. Which then strikes into her spark. Maybe it's the fact that she'd gotten a little attached to the human, but there's something kind of like guilt resting there. He'd gotten HURT.

Something she probably could've provided back up on.]

Strongarm!

[She sees him, hurrying over and grabbing him by the shoulder.]

What the pit happened to you?! You look like you got fed to a pack of turbofoxes!

[Unlike Bucky, Diarmuid actually has purpose behind his wanderings. It just so happens, he is looking for Bucky! He finally has gotten all the things he needs to make a spaghetti dinner complete with apple pie and wants to know when his friend would like to come over.

Of course, the last thing he is expecting is to find his friend looking so beat up and in obvious pain.

Diarmuid runs up to Bucky and starts to reach for him, stopping only when he realizes that touching his friend might hurt him.]

Lord James! What happened! Who hurt you? Was it the scientists?

[Mewtwo has been keeping half an eye on Mr. Barnes lately. He does not know the man, has never spoken to him, but he hacked the conversation between Bucky and Zeloph and the information gathered had been most interesting, as had Bucky's responses to it. Frankly, it doesn't really occur to him that he could just talk to Bucky about it. Why talk when you can stalk, right? Anyway, Mr. Barnes is an interesting person, and possibly knows things Mewtwo doesn't, so.

Alas, he doesn't witness the fight - he has more things to attend to than Bucky, after all, including probably more people to stalk - but he spots him afterwards while surveying the damage they've wrought. And Bucky is hurt, too. How intriguing.

He's also walking directly towards Mewtwo, since the Pokemon's just turned the corner to find him standing there. It's become too hot in Saeng Seong for Mewtwo to wear his cloak, so there's no real way to hide himself. Perhaps he's gotten too complacent, living in the city for as long as he has, walking about in daylight with no disguise...but, ah well, nothing to do for it now.

Except stare openly, because what are manners. Hey, he wants to know exactly what happened to Bucky, ok? He's just examining his wounds!
]

Good evening... [There, those are manners! Except that was kind of smirky sounding. Yes, Bucky has obviously had a good evening, Mewtwo. You butt.]
