Who's that pokemon?
Who: Cu Chulainn and Diarmuid
Where: Apartment 3
When: After 4/12
Summary: Cu Chulainn meets the new pokemon
[Diarmuid had gotten his hands on a big, strange egg. Cu Chulainn wasn't too sure what the egg was, even though Diarmuid had told him it was a pokemon egg. He had still tried to eat it at first, before Diarmuid stopped him and confiscated the egg. For several hours on end, Diarmuid had taken care of it, but it showed no sign of hatching. Cu Chulainn was starting to get a little annoyed at it.]
[Then at night, it had suddenly hatched into a strange creature, almost like a cross between a horse and a fish. Now, Cu Chulainn was glad that he hadn't tried to eat it. Of course, it was so tiny and delicate that Diarmuid did most of the handling. But Cu Chulainn was excited about getting to play with it in the morning.]
[Come morning, Cu Chulainn woke up late to fine his brother and the new pokemon gone. Not knowing where his brother had gone or what he was doing with the egg, Cu Chulainn sulks, lying down on his stomach in the living room. The puppies, first White and then Grey, clamber onto him, forming a dogpile. There they remain, not moving except for the puppies occasionally pawing at each other's faces. Only when they hear the squeaking of the door do they turn around.]

[Diarmuid shifts Horsea slightly so he can point toward said item.]
There! Do you need my chair to get up there?
no subject
[He goes to pull out another chair, standing on it so he can grab the flour. However, as he pulls it down, his hand slips and the flour drops to the floor, sending a puff of flour up into the air and covering Cu Chulainn, thus making him white from head to toe.]
no subject
[Diarmuid giggles as the flour sends up its whitening dust cloud. Most of it seems to avoid the boy, but Horsea does sneeze and the puppies are not so lucky. They end up just as white as Cu Chulainn does.
At least White should be used to it?]
I don't think you needed quite that much flour, brother!
no subject
Especially not all over me!
[Thankfully, the puppies seem to know how to deal with it. They start by licking flour off of each other, and then start licking it off of their Master.]
Look, Brother, the puppies are helping!
[And he goes into a giggle fit because their tongues tickle.]
no subject
[Diarmuid would be clapping his hands excitedly, but they are a little full at the moment, so instead he just rocks back and forth on his chair happily. Horsea makes a soft trumpeting sound and then squirts a bit of water toward Cu Chulainn and the puppies.]
Look! Horsea wants to help too! Do you want him to clean you off? Or should he wait until later when we are all done baking?
[Because it's not like this mess is going to get any smaller as things go on...]
no subject
Do you think he can wait? I'll be real quick, and then we can all clean up together.
no subject
[Horsea nods his head as if in agreement with Diarmuid's words.]
What is the next ingredient? Honey?
no subject
Nope! It's milk! Just like with a regular cake.
no subject
[Diarmuid points toward the refrigerator.]
Don't drop it! The milk will spill.
no subject
Don't worry. I'll be careful. And even if I spill things, the puppies will help me clean up!
no subject
[Human food isn't the same as puppy food. At least, not here.]
And we don't want to waste food!
no subject
[He tries to be careful as he pulls the milk out. When he gets it out, he sets it down and starts pouring flour in the big bowl. Then, after half the bowl is filled with flour, he starts pouring in milk.]
How much do you think it'll take to turn all this flour into dough?
no subject
[Diarmuid has watched people cook a few times, but not nearly enough to really know how making dough works.]
There are other wet things to add too, right?
no subject
I don't know. I just remember milk and dough and honey.
no subject
[Diarmuid watches as his brother pours the milk.]
Not everything has a lot of ingredients. Some things are really simple!
no subject
Ooh! It's all sticky! Do you wanna come try?
[Though some milk and flour splash out, the rest is forming into dough.]
no subject
I have to hold Horsea and I don't think he wants to get dough all over him.
[Horsea makes a trumpeting sound to show his agreement.]
You are doing a good job, brother! Keep it up!
no subject
Look at the dough! Does it look like a cake yet?
no subject
It does! It looks really good! You'll add the honey soon, right? And in the meantime, you should help me think of a name for Horsea! We can't just keep calling him that. He needs a real name.
no subject
Don't worry. I'm adding it now!
[And he pours a large swirl of honey on the dough.]
You should name him! He's yours.
no subject
[Diarmuid giggles and then shakes his head.]
I know I should pick the name, but I want ideas! You might think of something better than me!
no subject
Oh...and let's see...we need some whiskey too. Just a little bit.
[He's not quite sure what it does, but it always makes the dough look bigger.]
I don't know what to name him either. Blue? Fish?
no subject
[Cu Chulainn, are you bringing home alcohol and not telling your brother?
Said brother takes a moment to think over the suggested names and then shakes his head.]
It needs to be a strong name and a pretty one. Unique too because Horsea is all those things!
no subject
[He scratches his head.]
Hm...then what about Naoise? He's strongest knight I know.
no subject
[Oh dear...]
Naoise... He is your uncle, right? Does he like water?
