Who's that pokemon?
Who: Cu Chulainn and Diarmuid
Where: Apartment 3
When: After 4/12
Summary: Cu Chulainn meets the new pokemon
[Diarmuid had gotten his hands on a big, strange egg. Cu Chulainn wasn't too sure what the egg was, even though Diarmuid had told him it was a pokemon egg. He had still tried to eat it at first, before Diarmuid stopped him and confiscated the egg. For several hours on end, Diarmuid had taken care of it, but it showed no sign of hatching. Cu Chulainn was starting to get a little annoyed at it.]
[Then at night, it had suddenly hatched into a strange creature, almost like a cross between a horse and a fish. Now, Cu Chulainn was glad that he hadn't tried to eat it. Of course, it was so tiny and delicate that Diarmuid did most of the handling. But Cu Chulainn was excited about getting to play with it in the morning.]
[Come morning, Cu Chulainn woke up late to fine his brother and the new pokemon gone. Not knowing where his brother had gone or what he was doing with the egg, Cu Chulainn sulks, lying down on his stomach in the living room. The puppies, first White and then Grey, clamber onto him, forming a dogpile. There they remain, not moving except for the puppies occasionally pawing at each other's faces. Only when they hear the squeaking of the door do they turn around.]

Re: At least they have their very own Poke-Fire Extinguisher this time!
[His stomach gurgles.]
And...how about we eat the pie first? I'm really hungry.
no subject
[Diarmuid nods in head in agreement.]
What kind of pie is it?
no subject
[He holds his hands out to demonstrate how big the apple is.]
And they come in colors other than pink! They're red and green and even yellow! I've even seen purple ones here, but they were floating in water!
no subject
[Diarmuid looks at his brother in awe.]
I've never heard of apples like that before. Or ones so big! They sound like they are magical or something!
[He giggles.]
Do you think something special happens if you can eat all of the apple when they are that big?
no subject
I don't know! I've eaten one of the purple ones and I felt normal afterwards. But it was a very sweet apple!
no subject
[Diarmuid looks at the pie curiously.]
Did they say what kind is in here?
no subject
[He shakes his head again.]
They didn't, but I tried a bite of the pie and it was sweet! They must be using the sweet apples.
no subject
[He would get some himself, but...sleeping Horsea... Maybe his brother can help?]
no subject
[Cu Chulainn opens the lid to the pie tin and breaks a chunk off of the pie. The contents dribble over his hand as he takes it over to Diarmuid.]
Here. Open up!
no subject
[Diarmuid cheers and then gladly accepts the bite of pie. As he does, a small bit of the filling drips onto Horsea's head, startling the pokemon awake. Once he finishes chewing, Diarmuid carefully wipes him off and holds his fingers out to see if Horsea would like a taste. The pokemon gives it a sniff before cautiously trying it. The result...the pokemon seems unsure of it, but doesn't immediately dislike it. Diarmuid, on the other hand, has a much more positive response.]
It's really good and really is sweet! I wonder how it would taste with honey... Oh, it might be too sweet then.
[Him and his honey...]
no subject
I don't know. How can something be too sweet?
no subject
[Diarmuid smiles as he watches the puppies get their share of the pie too.]
I think it would be like that. Too much sweet is too much sweet no matter what!
no subject
Oh. That's right. I don't wanna get sick again!
[He goes to break off two more pieces of pie. The one in his left hand, he jams in his own mouth. The other piece he brings over to Diarmuid again.]
no subject
[Diarmuid takes the bite and eats it more slowly than his brother ate his own. He wants to enjoy the taste.]
I wonder what other kinds of pies people make. Have you tried other kinds of pie? It sounded like you had. What were they?
no subject
no subject
[Diarmuid grins as a thought enters his mind.]
Maybe if we do well with the cakes, we can find out how to make pies too!
no subject
Then let's make the cakes right now!
[And he goes back to the scattered bowls on the floor.]
Okay, first we need flour.
no subject
[Diarmuid shifts Horsea slightly so he can point toward said item.]
There! Do you need my chair to get up there?
no subject
[He goes to pull out another chair, standing on it so he can grab the flour. However, as he pulls it down, his hand slips and the flour drops to the floor, sending a puff of flour up into the air and covering Cu Chulainn, thus making him white from head to toe.]
no subject
[Diarmuid giggles as the flour sends up its whitening dust cloud. Most of it seems to avoid the boy, but Horsea does sneeze and the puppies are not so lucky. They end up just as white as Cu Chulainn does.
At least White should be used to it?]
I don't think you needed quite that much flour, brother!
no subject
Especially not all over me!
[Thankfully, the puppies seem to know how to deal with it. They start by licking flour off of each other, and then start licking it off of their Master.]
Look, Brother, the puppies are helping!
[And he goes into a giggle fit because their tongues tickle.]
no subject
[Diarmuid would be clapping his hands excitedly, but they are a little full at the moment, so instead he just rocks back and forth on his chair happily. Horsea makes a soft trumpeting sound and then squirts a bit of water toward Cu Chulainn and the puppies.]
Look! Horsea wants to help too! Do you want him to clean you off? Or should he wait until later when we are all done baking?
[Because it's not like this mess is going to get any smaller as things go on...]
no subject
Do you think he can wait? I'll be real quick, and then we can all clean up together.
no subject
[Horsea nods his head as if in agreement with Diarmuid's words.]
What is the next ingredient? Honey?
no subject
Nope! It's milk! Just like with a regular cake.
